ROB HOLLIDAY

Rob Holliday was the live bass and lead guitarist for Marilyn Manson during the 2007-2008 Rape Of The World tour in support of EAT ME, DRINK ME.

Holliday was also featured as bassist for the Heart-Shaped Glasses (When The Heart Guides The Hand) and Putting Holes In Happiness music videos, both taken from the aforementioned EAT ME, DRINK ME.

Having played and recorded with high profile artists such as The Prodigy and Gary Numan over ten years in the music industry, not to mention his own industrial rock project, Sulpher, and notable other names throughout his career, Rob Holliday was perhaps one of the most obvious choices for a live musician to have graced the ranks of Marilyn Manson.
Manson spoke openly about Holliday during January of 2008, in the interview Everyone Will Suffer Now, conducted by now-defunct fansite The Heirophant:-

suffer_now "Rob Holliday is able to go head to head with me when it comes to going for broke with alcohol or whatever substance it might be - except Viagra. I won't take that. Rob likes to take that when he's alone and go into truck stops and buy porno magazines.
I've always loved Rob as a guitar player as well as a bass player because he, as a bass player, was the closest thing to a rock star that I could have to Twiggy. Now there will be two nightmares on either side of me. I really hope and plan on keeping this a band now, and I think that Rob's an amazing guitar player and he's very creative song-writing wise."
Marilyn Manson, 01.2008

Although his tenure was not to continue outside The Rape Of The World live International dates between 2007-2008, he nonetheless proved to be a robust, visually consistent fan-favourite, and there was vocal disappointment when it was revealed that he would not continue playing with the band.

Unlike members that have departed in the past, the relationship between Manson and Holliday was not damaged, it was simply a logistic issue of Holliday returning to play a series of dates with The Prodigy that prevented him returning to the fold with Manson.
