Shit, I've had my ticket to this one for a while now...thought I posted in here already!!!

Oh, this show's on the anniversary of the release of Mechanical Animals, btw.

I'm still waiting for my ticket. I ordered directly from the rave website instead of Ticketmaster thinking I could save a few bucks on all the service fees. I paid $51.50 total (46.50 base + 5.00 credit card processing fee)...not sure if it's actually cheaper but I would think so since there is no TM service fee, building facility charge, charity donation, etc.

Text from Haz...he didn't give a full setlist, but Wight Spider and Dried Up, Tied and Dead to the World were played again tonight.

[spoiler2:pay01dfx]From what I hear, a certain someone got some pretty good footage of both aforementioned songs.[/spoiler2:pay01dfx]

He should have played Mechanical Animals (the album) :D

Yeah, at least a couple of extra songs from that album would've been awesome.

Beautiful vids of Dried up

and Wight Spider (blurry but audio still great)

^ Those are my vids :)

It was a great show. Dried Up was my favorite song of the night.

The crowd, at least around me, didn't seem to know THEOL material. They just stood there confused when they played the new stuff. I should've moved up closer where the die-hards were. But I thought I'd hang back this time and enjoy the show instead of constantly fighting for position up front.

i like this versions, but is good to hear a old song, he need to play more old song, from portrait

Well it's not 1997 anymore man. For 2009, his current vocal range suits Dried Up better than a lot of other songs in the back catalog. I'm really impressed with how good it sounds live all these years later.

Thanks for the vids, they sound great

It is so nice to see some videos come of these two songs. I've been listening to Manson non-stop again.

Great videos Jeff, thanks for posting them. Did you capture the entire show? I wish he would of played Dried Up in Winnipeg, but I won't complain.

I would never have pulled Dried Up... out of the hat to become the highlight of this tour, but fuck if these videos aren't edging towards saying otherwise. I like the fact that it serves as a nice little fuck you to the people who have been saying he lost it, or "fucked up". Makes me smile.

09-17-2009, 01:03 PM
I hope he doesn't stop with this, though....I'd love to hear "Mr. Superstar" or "Deformography", the stuff that hasn't been played in forever. And instead of "Rock n Roll Nigger" and/or "Sweet Dreams"....what about "Down In The Park"? And of course, more stuff from THEOL....

I don't ask for much, do I?

09-17-2009, 01:13 PM
Mr Superstar would be a great addition... They also played Mechanical Animals in a date or more when Twiggy came back last year, that would be an interesting song to hear too. Not that I'm complaining or anything :)

I didn't want to double-post, so:

There are also some non-concert short videos uploaded last night:

I'd love to hear "Mr. Superstar"...

Mr Superstar would be a great addition...

Manson actually played the opening guitar bit from "Mister Superstar" as an intro to "Dried Up, Tied and Dead to the World."

Did everyone miss that somehow?

I noticed it and I don't think that really counts

10-03-2009, 01:11 AM
I would counter that if you noticed it, then it obviously counts.

But anyway...

I noticed it too, Haz. It's part of the reason I mentioned it... as much as the tease was nice, I'd love it if they played the entire song.

Great vids, by the way. Thanks for posting them :D

Same here! Even just a longer version of it as an intro (like before) would be outstanding. Glad to hear it wasn't completely missed, at any rate.

And the videos are a little shakier and rougher sounding than I'd prefer, but I'd say they're still pretty watchable. The crowd was pretty rowdy and security was all over the place, so it is what it is.

Here's a couple more I...found.

Oh, btw...MASSIVE and UNENDING lolz @ Twiggy's "Put a Little Love in Your Heart" intro to "The Beautiful People," LOL.

Pretty sure that's a first!

Okay, I don't want to get into a huge argument or anything, but I just want to point out that both songs start off with the same chords and Mister Superstar has a slightly different progression when switching chords.

So... Yeah. I don't think it counts as a teaser to Mister Superstar.
