None of you will believe your eyes as soon as footage starts surfacing from this show. Trust me.

Manson posted the setlist:

Well, I'm going to tell how it all went yesterday, if anyone's interested ; ). First of all I was there at 1:30 pm, so I could sit and chat with other people about the concert, about what we were expecting, etc. Until 7:30 doors weren't open, and it was cold outside, but I had a good time just walking around the venue and the most important thing, I knew that I would be at 1st row. When they let us in I ran as an idiot and put myself in my place, waiting for Esoterica. One of the girls was screaming so loud I was becoming deaf, so I told her to shut the fuck up, but it didn't work (seriously, it was annoying, why they just don't stay at home? she was screaming even if there was nothing to scream at). But this is irrelevant, the thing is that Esoterica started and I think they were great, the guy has such a good voice and good stage presence, and they combine melodic parts with really heavy riffs, I didn't know what to expect but I was pleseantly surprised by their show (of course, the best of them was the bassist, you know why : P). They played like 5 or 6 songs and it ended, people were screaming "Manson! Manson!" at the end, which is good, but in my opinion they should've put more attention to the show and wait until Manson showed up.

Then, Manson. It was all so foggy I didn't see a shit when Cruci-fiction In Space, only the lasers sometimes, nothing more. But I noticed everything sounded very very good, also his voice. I was between Manson and Twiggy (Twiggy, man, don't be so lazy and learn A BIT BETTER some of the songs, specially Sweet Dreams) and it was an amazing experience. Manson was drinking beer and throwing the bottles to the public or the stage, and when a song ended, he always throw the mic away. This one show was much better than the last I went just because he was in the mood and he was feeling the songs this time, or at least exteriorizing it. RTTEOTW was ok, but I would have prefered Coma White instead of it, because even if the bed with the girl and the blood was nice, it wasn't as spontaneous as it could have been and it all turned a little boring (this song, I mean). Manson and Twiggy had some fun onstage and I was simply blown away by RnR Nigger, really, WOW. That was a powerful song and I headbanged like the Manson fan I am. The Love Song was also another one of the best to me, and of course, Dried Up, Tied and Dead To The World. He looked so good with the guitar and played with it like a kid plays with his toys. Twiggy was okay, he sucked at Sweet Dreams but I still love him, and the whole band was in good form. When it ended and everyone went to their houses I waited outside along with a few people to see if we could see any of the members, and although Manson left the place with a private car I had my ticked signed by Andy, Ginger Fish and Chris Vrenna, took a photo with the last one and met Esoterica too. We saw Twiggy coming in the bus but he didn't attend us, I don't know if later he came out but I left late so I don't think he did. Ginger was hard to convince and seemed pretty rude, but Chris Vrenna was so nice and signed us all our tickets (Fish only did it with the first 3 or 4 people, I was lucky), the man's full of love.

And I think that's all, I went to the afterparty, it sucked and I went to home.

Running To The Edge Of The World in this video might actually go down as being one of my favourite Marilyn Manson performances of all time, that was truly fucking amazing, I sincerely hope we are granted a version of this in London next week.

In my opinion it was good but it was difficult to see what he was doing with the body/corpse and it lacked movement to me, It would have been better if the bed were closer to the audiencie, I think.

12-05-2009, 05:36 AM
I loved the bed and the body.

I can't believe he played Running 3 days after the Lisbon show. I wish he had played it here. ;-;

12-05-2009, 08:45 AM
Omg the Running vid is awesome!

12-05-2009, 09:43 AM
That video of Running is fucking awesome, I also hope it stays in for the rest of the tour.

Yes, a very nice performance of RTTEOTW, some mild performance art in there... did anyone else notice the camera man behind manson? Perhaps a video release of this is coming? or just random crew filming?

Yer but the camera would have been much better infront of him :/

Goddamn, that video was incredible, and brilliantly shot.
What an excellent new prop, I thought it was awesome when he started getting the blood over his shirt and hand.
Thanks for posting.

I think it would be cool if somebody spliced clips of the official video with that live video.

12-08-2009, 01:34 AM
That video is beyond amazing.

He sounds truly terrific, and I don't think I've ever seen him more absorbed in a song. I feel like crying when I watch it, and that's not something that happens very often at all with me. Amazing emotion, amazing props...all round brilliant performance.

Thanks for the comments :) I also have this pic with the signatures, nothing really amazing but it means a lot to me. So sad Manson wasn't there.
