View Full Version : Make Way for the Knife - Is this Marilyn Manson?

I searched extensively, couldn't find a previous post or thread.

There is a lot of discussion, but no real information. If it's an impersonation, it's a brilliant one.

Just listen when he goes high and low in the vocal register, it's uncanny.

It does sound very similar to Manson but I'm almost certain that it's not him, you can tell that his voice is different to Manson's in some parts... but then again Manson does change his voice and put on accents in some songs so who knows? I like the song a lot though so I wish I knew who it was.
The lyrics are definitely something Manson would write.

I call bullshit.

It sounds more like someone who's manipulated their voice to sound like Manson's (and accidentally spilled a bit of Bowie into the mix), singing a Mansony song, than the man himself singing an unreleased single. It's almost too Mansony to be the real thing.

Still an interesting song though.

Actually I've changed my mind I think it could very well be an unreleased Manson song possibly from the celebretarian album? Urgh I'm probably just trying to convince myself that that's what it is lol but either way I seriously doubt anyone would go to all this trouble creating this song to imitate Manson. It's a beautiful song whoever’s it is.

Definately not Manson, but it's kinda cool. I would look up more songs by the artist, whoever he is.

Doesn't really sound like Manson to me...

I guess it's "Jesus on Extacy" but I don't know...

Nah. The voice isn't deep or croaky enough to be Manson.

yeah sounds like Jesus on Extacy to me..definitely not Manson that's for sure. His voice isn't shot or deep enough.

It doesn't sound like like Manson but the song style is very Marilyn Manson esque. It would be cool get more stuff from this band/person.

This is a quite blatant attempt by someone to record a song that sounds like a composite not only of lyrics from EAT ME, DRINK ME and The High End of Low, but also a song structure that resembles Devour, and an atmosphere like I Want To Kill You Like They Do In The Movies.

Sweet. I actually like some of the other songs. I dig his style. Any idea the real name of the song?
