i was just thinking about the thread that was on the 'phant...that showcased many facts i didn't even know. i figured to create this for anyone who knows cool facts about the band/man, so the newbie fans can get more pieces of knowledge. :p
Post away.
John 5 played guitar on the Baywatch theme tune. Fact.

Yep that's a fact.
We have a few on the main site (http://www.ultimatemansonbible.co.uk/faqs.html). I do have a stack load too, so anything that I can add to it I will send to Cringeon.
Maybe a good thing to have a q and a thread.
Marilyn Manson's favourite of his own body parts is his nose. He answered this as part of an interview with Popworld in 2003. he said that his mother always said told him that was the most useful part of the body.

That is really embarrassing. If I were him, I would start lying about it immediately.

haha no way! I think it makes him like 10 times cooler,if not just for bragging rights. Everytime it comes on tv- "yeah, I did that."

I don't think embarrassing, just goes to show how versatile someone is. Besides, that means he is loved by The Hoff too!

There are cool points for the love of The Hoff, tis true.
The unique written style for the song mOBSCENE was not, in fact, a deliberate evokation of language on Manson's part, but in fact a caps-lock error.
When Manson was sending details of what the the first single from The Golden Age Of Grotesque would be to Interscope, he had just been writing one of his journal entries in all capitals, and forgot to switch back to lower case, and wrote "mOBSCENE". Manson tried to cover it up by pretending it was done purposely, directing that the song Saint should instead be written (s)AINT, to suggest that the odd typing was a thematic of the album.

That isn't anything new. That's like saying that Marilyn Manson's real name is Brian Warner. n00b.
EDIT: I do hope that people know I'm being sarcastic, and that S.D. made the entire thing up.

Also, the whole 15 thing was a mistake. It should be 16. I'm always typing that by mistake too.

The Long Hard Road Out of Hell was not an autobiography. It was in fact his first fiction novel.
Manson never actually dated Stoya. It was a publicity stunt. Manson sympathizes with young actresses, and dates them to propell their career, and to give him new material to write about.
"Don't worry theirs another one just like you in line".

In The Long Hard Road Out Of Hell, it was stated that the code for doing drugs was, " dancing with the one-legged pimp". That was edited from the original phrase, " dancing with the one legged-nigger".

I'm not stating this as a fact, actually I wanted to know if there was any truth in this. Is it true that Manson got asked to do backing vocals for Eminem's Kim, but didn't cause he thought it was too violent?

I think it's from the span magazine interview in '07. I'm not sure the reason behind is because it was too violent though.

We showed this music video under the title MARILYN MANSON: ANTI-CHRIST

category.
We don't have any more information on it, but the print source was listed as

In fact, quite a few people have seen this video. It was actually shown on
MTV several times, but has remained one of the most underground MM videos.
In 1996, Elias and I were approached by MM's management and were hired to
produce two videos, which we did. ACS is a full length B&W video
incorporating outtake footage from Begotten and runs, I believe about 5:30.
We also did a Crypt Orchid that runs under 2 minutes that was meant to be
used for a live show costume change, but never was because they cheaped out
on projection on that tour. I believe this video was featured on an enhanced
CD of a greatest hits CD, but ACS has never been released by the record
company.
The whole story behind the creation of these videos is pretty amazing, and
very funny too. It will definitely be a chapter in my memoirs.
Before discussing copies, it would be nice to know who you are and why you
are pursuing this with such vigor.

^^ It is not the first time I've read that e-mail chain. I remember it from somewhere else.
And there is a sign petition in order for the video to be released. After the "Apple Of Sodom" video apparition, I believe and have faith, once again.
MM fact: He's friend with Chino from Deftones, and there was a pic of both on the Deftones' recording studio at some point on their official website. I wish I could find such pic.

You read that Email chain on MansonUSA when I originally posted it.It's not second hand I E-mailed Mr. Rosenthal in...2005/2006 I think it was. That is pretty much all I personally could get out of him.I can say he was very quick to reply to my E-mails and he doesn't seem like an unreasonable person.I posted this because I think *I* couldn't get the video out of him because I'm just a regular guy.Maybe someone who has a little more "credentials" (like The people who run Provider Module or Nick from NK) could talk to him and arrange something. It can't hurt to ask

The version you responded to is just a thumbnail, the original full size image still exists at Deftones World, and it's definitely legitimate:-

Not impressed either. Just sayin'.To each their own, but I don't see what there is to be unimpressed by, it's just Manson spending a day with another musician, perhaps they are friends? Manson has stated he is closely acquainted with Jonathan Davies of Korn on several occasions (it's common knowledge they worked together for The Queen Of The Damned soundtrack), who in turn is friends with Chino Moreno and other members of the Deftones. I liked the fact that during The Golden Age Of Grotesque and the Celebritarian incarnation of Lest We Forget, Manson was seen or photographed with a multitude of very different characters in entertainment. It was a keen reminder that the entertainment world is often a lot smaller than people assume, and Manson has made as many friends as he has enemies along the road.
Incidentally, I wouldn't go apeshit over them, any more than any other band I casually listen to, but the Deftones are okay sometimes. Change (In The House of Flies), My Own Summer and Passenger are fucking excellent songs. Anyway, there you go, the picture is indeed, a fact.

BlankPolaroid: It might not seem real because of the "effects" -or, better said, the movements of the crappy cell phone camera in turn- that make the pic seem weird.
And Deftones is one of my "nu-metal stage" survivors. To this day I can listen to many of their songs and feeling like all I need to do -in order to be happy- is to jump around like a madman. Nah! Who am I trying to deceive? to this day, I still love nu metal.
And yes, S.D. is right: back in the day, it was a common thing to see Manson pics, accompanied by many other celebrities. I'm especifically thinking about the Brian Molko, Jonathan Davis, MM and Twiggy one from... 1998, I think; Or the one with Eminem and one of the T.A.T.U. girls.
