Jesus Christ, that's nasty. I was trying to drink pulpy orange-juice whilst reading this thread, and those pictures made it very difficult to swallow.

Incredible work though. What are they made of?

Wow, that's amazing, they look so realistic! I could not have that in my house though, that would totally freak me out.

Hey necro, I thought for a second I was looking at pics of Janice Dickinson :P

Anyway, those pics are pretty awesome. I've only seen mummified remains once before and that was in a museum when I was visiting Belfast.

Thanks for all the good feedback... I often forget how graphic these guys might seem to some people until a child or someone who doesn't know me sees them for the first time.
The skulls are made from styrofoam wig-heads... carved out to resemble skulls. The bones are simply wire hangers sculpted into the shape of arms, fingers, etc... the shape is built up with scraps of fabric and masking tape... and the "skin" is a type of contsruction adhesive called 'Liquid Nails'.. luckily for me it comes in several different consistencies and shades. Some dark, some very light. The teeth are made from fabric glue from a glue gun, cut and shaped to resemble teeth... and the finger nails are cosmetic acrylic press on nails.
And finally, they are colored with wood stain. This also comes in several varieties.

How much ya want for one of those eh?? lol

Fucking creeeeeepy and awesome

...I do intend on selling some of them soon!

Why'd I never look at this thread before?

You should definitely get involved with special effects in horror movies.

You are a GENIUS! To get such results out of everyday materials...I'm still half suspecting you just dug them out from some local crypt and are pretending they're art. :P

necro, WOW! These things look awesome! They really look very realistic and, of course, creepy :)

Just like Nick said, if you aren't already doing it, you should consider doing some work for movies, props, effects, I mean..these really look outstanding!

Marvelous job!

I'm trying :)
Just collecting materials for more advanced stuff (latex, silicone, clay, etc) to build up a portfolio... as of now I've been putting all of my efforts into local, very indie horror shorts.

Welllll.... the idea of using wig-heads and that particular adhesive is a technique by effects artist Christian Hansen... so I can't take all the credit, but thanks ;)

Thank you!

And here's the latest... I'm not too pleased with the nose, I think it looks a bit too Voldemort-ish.

Got away from corpse building for a while, but last Halloween had me busy.
I made these for a local curiosity shop/haunted attraction. Sold a few!
