MansonWiki says more than 11 millions worldwide, but Wikipedia gives very different numbers, who's right?

Worldwide sales according to Wikipedia:
Portrait - 2.500.000
Smalls Like Children - 4.000.000
Antichrist Superstar - 7.500.000
Mechanical Animals - near ACSS, about 7.000.000?
Holy Wood - 9.000.000
The Golden Age - 4.000.000
Eat Me Drink Me - 800.000

Last Tour on Earth and The High End of Low have no data.

What the fuck, I thought Holy wood was like... a Gold record? :O ... this confuses me... you'd think there would be something up here if it reached 9 million since 2000 with Manson and band recieving those plaques like Radiohead did in Meeting People is Easy for selling so much. Im pretty sure he's only sold 11 millionish.. but that's off word of mouth.

As much as I want Wikipedia's numbers to be true, I'd have to say they're somehow off. I mean, Wtf? Where are these from, even?

I vote for MansonWiki's number. :D
Nonetheless, it has to be at least 5 million albums worldwide, from in the year 2001. <---Multiple sources say that.

Although the Wikipedia numbers seem odd, I might put more trust in it simply because There are numerous news stations/interviews/etc that were around in 1998-2000 that said similiar things to--"He has now sold over 10 million albums...." In over 10 years, I doubt the sales only increased by a million. He's still very much a household name and packs shows around the world. ...Not to mention, he has put out several new cds in the decade of 2000-2010.

I understand how some fans of any musician from any genre can get carried away by their love or hate of the celebrity. Word of mouth spreads easily with the internet, and much like the childhood game "telephone" things can become exaggerated from both directions. I've seen Manson fans that let their love for him make them think he is still the big star that he was in the 90s and i've seen fans that think that he is hardly famous at all anymore and is nearly and underground act. Both are untrue.

And Holy Wood was gold....when it came out. I highly HIGHLY doubt in 10 years it hasnt atleast sold a million copies. This is MARILYN FUCKING MANSON. He is still referenced now and then on big tv shows and talk shows and things....usually in a negative way, but when wasnt it negative?

I dont know that I believe he's sold as many as wikipedia claims. But I definately don't believe it's only 11 million. He's been around awhile now and is still packing the stadiums. In nearly 20 years, i'd say it quite a bit more than 11 million.
