View Full Version : 2011 Film Releases

I was looking through on Wikipedia last night at a list of films due out this year,

There are a few films I'm looking forward to see, and others I might see but think they've already done them to death (Final Destination, Paranormal Activity).

I'm looking forward to seeing Scream 4. I was a fan of the original trilogy, and didn't expect them to start it up again but I'm actually pleased now that they have. I'm looking forward to where they're going to take the new films.
Other films I want to see are:
Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides
X-Men: First Class
Transformers: Dark of the Moon
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2
[I]Cowboys & Aliens [This sort of looks good, probably not one I will see at the cinema though, or at least wait for some reviews]

I saw the new Final Destination on the list, and thought last one that came out The Final Destination in 3D was pure crap, the story line was rubbish, it basically came across to me as some people just wanting to create some crazy death scenes in 3D and then fill in the gaps later. Then I read about a possible 6th and 7th Final Destination, an article for that is here-
I enjoyed the earlier films, they just got weaker as they went on and the last one was really crap.

Originally this thread was going to be about Final Destination, but I decided to open it up for further 2011 film discussion. So what is everyone else looking forward to see this year?

Plenty of awesome stuff coming out this year, but as far as I'm concerned it's ALL ABOUT Transformers: Dark of the Moon.

My parents finally figured out that I go to LOTS of movies (not realizing I sneak into most of them, lol) and have started giving me the little AMC and Regal Cinemas gift cards they get as rewards and from redeeming credit card points occasionally.

So I guess they've mentioned it to my grandma or something 'cause practically every time I visit now she gives me a little movie gift card too since they have them right at the checkout lanes of the same Wal-Mart where she gets all her prescriptions and groceries and stuff.

I've been saving all those gift cards from them for almost a year and now I've got almost $150 worth of movie passes I'm going to use EXCLUSIVELY for Transformers: Dark of the Moon in 3D.

^ wow how many times are you planning on seeing Transformers?

I went to log into my yahoo email today and it had been re-skinned to advertise a film, I had never heard about it before but it's written and directed by J. J. Abrams and produced by Steven Spielberg - Super 8

The trailer doesn't really give too much away, but I think it looks great.

5? 5?

So they make a real shit "The Final Destination" which was made to look good in 3D but the characters were 1D, and then they have a FIFTH come out! Seriously, Hollywood, it's time you started to realize the concept ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!
