Interesting enough, I already knew their stance on WBC but this is a new tidbit of info.

Yeah, I saw this yesterday. To be honest I wasn't really that surprised, and if I had to take a side it'd be KKK all the way. I've never really bought in to the perception of them as a racist group that kills black people as the be all and end all of their existence. They're a religious group, same as any other. They may be more zealous than some others, but that's basically what they are and, like many religious groups, they have problems with other religious groups. Put the KKK and WBC together? Put that on TV, I'd watch it.

History actually shows that this was the group. They are a racist group dressed up in White Religion, and using religion as justification for their actions - that's when they used religion to justify. Other than that they were little more than a bunch of "good ole boys" who used fear to stoke hatred and sometimes took that hatred into actions - such as the burning of Black churches, the lynching of Black People - all done in the name of the KKK.


They're a religious group, same as any other. They may be more zealous than some others, but that's basically what they are and, like many religious groups, they have problems with other religious groups. Put the KKK and WBC together? Put that on TV, I'd watch it.

Seriously I don't how to feel about this. On the one hand, the KKK's violent history speaks for itself, on the other WBC is far more intolerant and hateful while remaining peaceful at all times. The KKK is just racist. WBC hates EVERYTHING. I can't tell which one is more evil/embarrassing.

That's not why they protest military funerals. They believe homosexuality is one of the causes for our wars, therefore the soldiers dying are dying because America has abandoned the Bible.
