I wanted to ask people on the forum whether there were any films in particular that cheer you up, e.g. whenever you're in a bad mood or depressed, there are films to make you feel a lot better.

The reason I'm asking is because it does happen to me occasionally and there are films I enjoy that really help me get over my issues. It's always a bonus if the humor is great as well.

My top films are:
1. Mallrats
2. Clerks
3. The Cable Guy (haven't watched it in years)
4. Austin Powers: The spy who shagged me
5. Meet the Parents

Whenever I am sick or feeling a bit down I find that these films cheer me up:

1. Down With Love
2. The Importance of Being Earnest
3. The Road to El Dorado
4. Pulp Fiction
5. Pride and Prejudice (The BBC series)

Some Like it Hot
Little Miss Sunshine
The Full Monty

Any of the Doris Day & Rock Hudson comedies e.g. Pillow Talk, Lover Come Back, Send Me No Flowers. Doris Day movies in general tend to cheer me up.

Well, it certainly puts things in perspective I suppose.

Interview with the Vampire
Which may sound a little odd because the story the movie tells is rather sad. I think the reason it cheers me up is because I love it a lot and know it very well. It's familiar to me and very loved by me and therefore comforts me. :P
