Excited.
And a Manson sideshow has been confirmed for Melbourne, by the looks of it.

Yeah. No replies, no reviews, just a couple of pictures by basetendencies' twitter and that's all. Weird as hell.

Give it some more time and stuff will start to pop up, it does seem to be quiet though compared to the previous shows and how much stuff went online so fast.

Cool to hear that they played Hate Anthem, I wonder if that will stay in for the rest of Australia or if they will keep switching songs around.

I know Celiny-O went, so we should get SOMETHING in the way of details when she's online, but give it a while. Remember there's a messed up amount of time difference.

Oh, and did Twiggy have that mask he's been wearing in Brisbane? If Sydney was it's first appearance, what's the bet he got it from Mister Stinky's costume shop he was photographed outside of?

Yeah maybe he bought there, I heard he was wearing it while ACSS was being played, then he'd take it off. His make-up (and the rest of the band) looked great in these pictures!

I think Sydney was the first appearance of the mask, never saw any photos of him wearing it before at the previous shows.

I'm going to come out of lurking and ask did Manson just demand a beer from the staff, only to give it to an audience member once they brought said beer?

Hmm, most of the people in the audience in that Little Horn video look like they have no idea what's going on, and they're just waiting around for him to hurry up and play The Beautiful People.

I love how appearance wise the band looks so much more professional and focused than on previous tour. Also all the interview so far have been pretty serious and quite deep. And I think when the album is finally released, shows will be getting even better!

I heard that the band sounded amazing and that MM sounded good, just with a sore throat which I think is obvious from the video. I am sure someone will come in and claim he was "slurring, stumbling and forgetting all the words" and then magically no video evidence will turn up to support that.

=)

BTW., my fucking god yes I LOVE how the band looks.

Nice of MM to hand out a beer ;)
Actually everything I've seen him with so far has been water, and just my personal opinion I don't really think he's been "high" with maybe the exception of his exit drug. Voice definitely sounds rough in that Little Horn recording, but it happens with lots of bands when first returning to touring after a break.

I agree 110%. Like you I am still waiting for a video showing Manson slurring and stumbling. Or anything resembling '09. These people giving bad reviews would have talked shit even if Manson came out and put on a show like it was 1997. We know that because they were talking shit during the Holy Wood tour, calling Manson a one trick pony and etc.

Tigger

The closest I have come to obtaining a video of Manson slurring during these shows is someone saying "I am listening to the video of Manson I took with my iphone and can clearly hear him slurring the whole time" and when I asked for it to be uploaded so I could hear they said they couldn't upload it because it would take forever and they recorded the video for themselves. :S

There was no laser hat this time. I am disappoint.

Like smokeweed said, 1996 was swapped for Irresponsible Hate Anthem. Otherwise, same setlist.
After seeing more than one show on this tour, I can officially say I'm not a fan of Jason Sutter's stage presence. I'm not doubting his talent. He's a good drummer, and I know it's been said, but he really doesn't live up to Ginger.
Great show. Even though some girl punched me in the head because I wouldn't let her or her girlfriend push in front of me. And there were some classy people doing coke in the pit, and yelling out ridiculous things so loudly it was ruining the show for those around them. But hey, it's a Manson concert, haha.
Before it started, the crew were struggling to keep the curtain up, which was tearing off due to the wind. In the end, the wind finally blew it down, so they just gave up.
He gestured for some insane, screaming woman on the barrier to throw up her pack of smokes. When she did, he crushed the box and threw them back into the crowd after breaking two of them in his mouth.
Nothing else major happened. He had the fake cocaine vials again, and of course, some people were offended because they thought it was real.

I didn't manage to get any good photos or videos due to my spot in the pit (third row, too crushed to get my camera out).

But how was Manson? Disappointed? And I heard there were Slipknot chants again in half of his set. True?

Lindsay taking videos of Manson

"We stopped past Marilyn Manson, who I respect as an artist and person, but to be honest I think he's a little bit beyond the age where wearing a leather T-shirt and garish make-up is necessary. I kind of felt like I was watching my dad scream out Beautiful People and Sweet Dreams... and unsurprisingly it felt a bit awkward."

God now pathetic comments about proper age for doing something are also considered valid to make a review. When will there morons understand that they have an artist in front of them? Thats his fucking life, not something Manson does once in a while, like cycling or joging. Is there a proper age to fuck and caress your nipples too? Give me a break lol

Now the important, is just me or Twiggy Ramirez as come up with a beautiful outfit and make up? Love it! Also, Mansons clothes seem like a opened body, with the ribs, cool :D mmm and first setlist changes going on, interesting... although I would replace PJ for IHA ;)

Yeah, this is how I feel. He's doing a good job playing wise, but just doesn't have that 'OOMPH!' on stage. He's new though, so I'm giving him an extended chance, he may warm up in to it over time. See how he's going by the end of the tour.

I know. I heard someone say that he needed to take a break, and then come back fresh in a few years. I thought 'take a break? From what? Living?"

Basetendencies.com just put up info of where the mask came from - "It is indeed a mold of his face, casted by Laney Chantal and then painted by Kizuku Kitano, both artists at Magee FX."

http://www.basetendencies.com/News.htmlThanks, I was wondering wtf it was supposed to be and thought it looked a HELL of a lot like his real face, lol. She's done some really cool work and this is obviously no exception! Neat idea well executed. Maybe she can make one for Fred and Jason and they can ALL wear them for "Antichrist Superstar" instead of the good ol' chromed helmets from back in the day.

:)

the doors - texas radioYet another awesome "deep cut" used as an intro track for the band!

Awesome choice, especially considering how much they're playing up the 15th anniversary of the Dead to the World Tour AND the fact that they're a four-piece now.

Now if only one of them were actually a keyboardist...haha.

Anyway, it's a nice touch.

I just LOVE their taste in music!

Quick details -- I'll get in-depth later tomorrow maybe.
Twiggy had the mask for the opening few songs, took it off around The Love Song.
Manson was fairly drunk and abusive to his stage hands and rather bad vocally, especially a far cry from the professionalism of Sydney's solo show (which I also went to and met Celine and Dysmorphia there). I think he's trolling all the festival appearances whilst putting in proper effort for the solo shows (no point trying to win over the casual festival crowd, hence why he always thanks the sideshow crowds)
IHA was unplanned. MM started mumbling "We hate love, we love hate". As soon as he did the first opening "fuck it" the rest of the band had no idea what was going on since they expected to play 1996. Awkward. Jason looked absolutely confused. 10 seconds later, he started the 1-2-3-4 count-in / backing keys tape. By the end most of the rest of the band seemed kinda pissed off (esp. Twiggy and Jason).

hey guys ...

I have no idea that this video was posted anywhere else here but this video is from yesterday's show

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BCR_bUCAcGw&feature=related

the problem here is that Manson was singing to no audience so to speak....the venue was somehow empty from what I saw (correct me if I am wrong I will be thankful) and he was singing to people that have no idea who is this man or not interested in his songs and some people are just roaming carelessly without giving a shit.....I have no idea why those people came in the first place. The band and the expression on twiggy's face that there was no response was apparent and in the end someone said : well that was pretty terrible .It wasn't Manson's day yesterday in comparison with 25 and 25 and 29.

that was shown on the video....if what i said was wrong or delusional correct me I won't be angry.

It's always calm and spacious towards the back of the crowd on the lawn at a festival like that, though. Especially late in the day but before the main headliners play. People are tired. And probably looking for cover since it looked like it might rain soon, lol.

But if you watch the crowd shots on the screen at about 3:25 you'll see there's still plenty of jam-packed enthusiasts crowding the barricade up front and rockin' out.

Who the fuck cares man? I like the guy. I will keep buying the records he puts out. I will buy a ticket to his show if I get a chance. I will rock the fuck out to MM. The man knows he can't please everyone. We all should know that too. He has done a whole bunch of substance abuse in his days and he is 43 years old now, and still performing like 3-4 times a week. He should be one proud rock star to still make huge loads of money and garner such level of attention and interest wherever he goes. I am a proud MM fan for sure. I think some of you should stop getting your panties in a bunch every time someone gives them a bad review, or don't like their show. A lot of people are not even really his fans. They don't have the attachment to the ACSS songs like devout fans on this forum obviously have. And so fuck what they think. Be more concerned with how you feel, and rock the fuck out.

And 'devout' fans, of all people, should know by now that MM loves to get intoxicated. He always has. Its a part of who he is. About time you guys accept that; and maybe, I don't know, re-evaluate your status as MM fans.

It was stated that Manson sounded like he had a sore throat in Melbourne and I think that sounds obvious in that video. Other than the roughness of an obvious sore throat, I am not sure what there is to complain about to the level that people are complaining. Its Marilyn Manson. Its rock and roll. Its not supposed to be polished and perfect, its supposed to be reckless and destructive!
