I wonder if he will do anything special at the show for it being ACSS birthday? I guess we will find that out tonight!

I've been excited about this show since it was announced because it takes place on the anniversary of the release of Antichrist Superstar, an occasion I've never once overlooked.

And also because the venue's right downtown and I knew I could get to it without much hassle, unlike some of the other venues on this tour which are way out in the 'burbs nowhere near a Greyhound station.

But now I have to miss it because my ride in St. Louis dropped me off at the show but never came back to pick me up afterward and has been dodging my attempts to contact them for DAYS so I could get my backpack of travel necessities out of their trunk. They KNEW I was just in town that night for the show and that it was literally freezing outside and that they had all my shit but apparently watching a movie with another pal and waiting FORTY-EIGHT HOURS to finally let me know that was just WAY MORE IMPORTANT than them keeping their word and me not freezing to death overnight in an empty venue parking lot in the middle of nowhere.

So I finally just had to leave Missouri without my luggage and spend almost 150 dollars I don't really have at the worst possible time just to replace the stuff I need to travel with that's all still sitting in her trunk...unless of course the stupid fucking cunt already pawned it for a rock or shot it up her arm or just threw it out to be a bitch, who knows.

Anyway, sorry I can't make it.

For what it's worth, I brought it up in conversation the other night and Manson definitely knows about the anniversary in Lincoln.

Hope you guys get something special and I hope someone documents it on film if so, but most of all I just want my shit back and for this retarded goddamned bitch to burn in fucking hell.

Really fucking pissed I'm missing this show, in case that subtlety was lost on anyone.

-_-

Ah, crap. I'm sorry.

I'm seriously considering getting a hotel room after my show because I can just see myself stranded because my ride flakes out on me or just doesn't want to come pick me up so late. He's already started to give indications that he's going to suddenly "forget" his promise to drive me...
if I miss what I've waited half my life for, I feel sorry for my housemates.

Haz, I was pretty pissed at the endless stream of annoyances that went down for us trying to go to the show in St. Louis, but that was nothing compared to the night you had. If you have the opportunity to strangle/punch this person, I have some maniacal gloves I would happily lend you. Really sorry to hear about all that shit, dude. :(

Well, I like Pershing and had a blast hanging afterward before so I'll let you know the next time I'm in town for a concert. Sorry to miss you guys, can't wait to hear all about it!

While we wait for REAL news from tonight, I thought I'd share a fun pic.

This is one of my favorite mementos from the last time Manson played this venue. It was already knocked off the venue's outside wall before I found it on the ground and collected it to discretely solicit for autographs right in front of the security of the venue itself while keeping the sign carefully wrapped in my new MM hoodie so no one could read it, lol. It's a pretty big and thick plastic sign (size 12 boot provided for scale) and signed by Tim, Ginger, Chris, and Rob:

Show was awesome. No onstage mention of ACSS anniversary but the song is still on the setlist.

Looking back on this thread, that really would have been a great thing to mention at the meet and greet. I KNEW I'd think of something better than 'hi' and 'thanks' in retrospect. But it was a great night thorugh and through. After being able to see Manson's set from the rail I was actually walking around cackling with glee. Like literally, cackling, and I have never done that before. Rob Zombie was as epic as the sun itself, as he always is.

And I love your sign Hazekiah!

Ah, so there was a celebration of it, in a way. I didn't realize TRG was new to the tour since I had been avoiding the setlist spoilers for this one. I believe I have a short video of that song, but I can't find the USB hookup for my phone right now so it'll be later.

If you wanna grab his attention, be a bible thumber just for the occasion and preach him. We wanna see how he reacts to this situation.

No video of The Reflecting God yet?
We have videos of most of the earlier songs in the set but our camera started dying so we missed the chance to record the TRG and others.

As far as ripping up bibles and throwing the pages out to the crowd that didn't happen. Although he did have a few newspapers (The Las Vegas Journal) ripped up and spread on the floor of the stage that he would pick up, use to wipe his face, and then throw out to the crowd. The reason I know what paper it was is because my wife ended up with one of the pages after the show.

Overall the whole show was very awesome including Zombie's set but I'm just going to concentrate on Manson's here. Manson while still not the most energetic as he used to be was still very on top of his game at this show. He was in a very good mood and enjoying himself, singing very well, and only stumbled on his lyrics once if I can recall correctly. The latter not being that big of a deal because he quickly recovered from it pretending to jack off his microphone and continued with the song as if nothing happened. As for the comment made about Fred and Jason being mannequins that was not the case here they were very much part of the show adding a lot of intensity to the performance side of things and were the only ones that came out and visited with us outside where their buses were parked. Making the time for our questions or just to talk, giving us signatures, pictures, and Fred gave my wife one of his picks. Oh by the way my wife said that they should have played Little Horn and he said they were trying it out during rehearsal and added that it sounded really good. She also told him that we were keeping track of the tour on "Provider Module" and he quickly responded with "Oh that's a great site there's a lot of nice people on there". One of the other people outside with us asked him if they were working on new material and he said that there were several things in the works but nothing was fleshed out enough that any of us would want to hear. On a slightly related note we got a wave from Twiggy from inside his bus and John 5 (I'm bringing him up since he used to be part of the band) did come out and only had time for hugs because his bus was getting ready to take off so we didn't get much time with him but it was still awesome to meet him. I'm in the process of uploading our videos to youtube so they will be on here soon just don't expect anything to grand seeing how the smoke machines were on full blast and since we were right up at the front of the stage the sound suffers from being next to the speakers (It got pretty loud). Oh and my wife was recording the video and we don't get Manson here much so she rocked out hard making the camera very shaky at times (which she apologizes for but she was having fun so it doesn't matter).

Quick Edit:
Oh yeah my wife asked what they did since they had some time off after the Little Rock show had been cancelled and Fred told us that him and Twiggy went to The Gateway Mall, bought socks and watched Dredd 3D which he added was very awesome. She then went to say "I bet you guys got mobbed" and he said that nobody bothered them at all.

How long did you wait after the show at the buses before Fred and Jason came out? I would like to do the same tomorrow in Chicago to try to meet them but if it takes too long I'm not sure I'll be able to. It sounds like you had a really good time, thats awesome that these shows and all the experiences everyone has been having are positive.

jembliss, your post is too epic for words! That is awesome that he likes the site and yes, Fred and Jason were wonderful up there. I said something about Fred in the thread for the Phoenix Uprising. Loved his facial expression. Very funny to imagine that group hanging out at Gateway without notice, lol. And I coulda sworn I'd heard a soundcheck for little horn, good to know I wasn't going crazy.

Now I uploaded this, but I warn it is very, very low quality coming out of a phone bought in 2008 and I only got 36 seconds of the song, but until someone else puts it up here is a bit if The Reflecting God to wet the taste buds.

Not very long after Zombie's set was done. We went right out to the buses, it was at the most a ten minute wait. Good luck though! They were very cool to hang out with.

Thanks btw Willice you weren't going crazy Fred said they played it in rehearsal and enjoyed testing it so there could be a chance that it might show up in later shows. We were surprised they didn't get mobbed going to the mall especially Twiggy...I'm kind of regretting not asking him where they bought the socks.. haha!
