Is there a bus that goes to the venue? or is this one out in the suburbs?

My dad works at delta, so I fly for free. I just need a way from the airport to there and then back to the airport. So is there a bus? :)

Well, what you can do is ask a few memeber on here if they can pick you up before the show, and then if they can't drop you off after, possibly take a cab? If I could I would, I'm not sure my schedule the day of! There are buses and cabs all over the airport. You'd have to do research and find out where they go. Worst case if bus doesn't work is call a cab, like i said it's only 15-20 away.
Here is the Venue info

Same setlist as previous nights. Manson was pretty playful talking about how people think he mumbles, talked about Philadelphia cream cheese and the liberty bell. Theatrics were very good. Lots of white trash drunk college guys in the pit (very very crowded).

Now that I remember.... Twiggy's power failed during the love song, which afterwards Manson asked us what kind of voodoo witchcraft we have going on in here. He was much more energetic than from when I saw him 3 years ago.

Zombie was fantastic as always...tons of energy running around on stage. They all really look like they just love being on stage and enjoy each other. It did make me realize how good of a guitarist Manson gave up. J5 is just beyond words.

^ I'm starting to really think Manson reads these topics. So, on that note....hey Manson! See you on Halloween! :P But seriously, I love shows when Manson is having fun, lots of awe moments with Twiggy i'm sure. Great times. I don't expect the set to change but goddamn if Manson does read this...I sincerely hope they play The Reflecting God on Halloween. Either that or "President Dead"...yes?

OMG best show.

Fascinating.

"As for the MM show one of two of the worst mm shows I've seen. Seeing as I have seen 118 that's not a bad record. However, the whole band seemed like they were phoning in the performance and Manson was so wasted he sang his own special lyrics which was amusing for one song but not most of the songs. I love MM...and his NYC show was great...I hope this was just an off night."

If you can't look at the videos of RZ and MM here and not form an opinion, then I give you more credit than was due.

http://www.youtube.com/user/vwall10411?feature=watch

RZ is blowing him off the stage.

And understand: I'm admittedly on MM's side. If you really are someone that has posted here 2050 times, you know the person that went to his show 118 times and placed this show in the bottom TWO. She's not a troll and neither am I.

It's clear that MM reads these posts from the afterparty talk, so all I'm saying is that claiming "OMG! Best Show EVAH!"is not going to get you better shows.

It's actually easy to base broad opinions on YouTube videos - we're really lucky to have this resource. I think if you were there for Hammerstein and this show, you'd get my point - totally different quality.

You're obviously not a troll either and I respect your opinion. Everything said here is being digested by his team all the way to the top. Isn't it better to want the best than accept what is given?

I agree and disagree... Is manson 100% all the time? No. Nobody is. Personally I can't get into RZ music. Manson's music is a piece of me, I relate and love it. Not saying RZ is bad. However, a shitty band or shitty music with a huge stage show / production, ultimatley is still a shitty band. Manson lets the music do the talking not fire, pryo and machines walking on the stage. Based on the shows I attneded, and the people I talked to most of them said " RZ killed Manson" My response was why you think so? Their answer was because the stage is amazing all the pyro theatrics etc.. Again, Shitty music or a shitty band with an amzaing stage show is still a shitty band. Personally the music has to do the talking. If you have the music part down, and you can afford and put on a huge show (KISS) more power to you.

now Personally--- the only thing that got me through RZ's set was John 5. If it wasn't for him and I being a huge fan I would have left.

Also let me add.. This is my opionon. You're not wrong, I'm not right or wrong.. From me...

Haha, I agree. But I think King Kill it is supposed to be some kind of jam before ACSS, not a song itself with the lyrics and etc. I disagree the way it is. You either SING IT PROPERLY, or you don't. Just like Reflecting God recently, which was terrible. Or Coma White at the beginning of the year. Which was so terrible it made me wonder if it was a joke. Sincerely. Nowadays it sounds great though.

Cringeon
10-20-2012, 11:40 PM
What was the issued with Reflecting God? King Kill is fucking killer live, it being a loose jam doesn't make it any less rad seeing it live. It's only 2min or so on the album anyways.

1984
10-21-2012, 12:42 AM
I think that fact that I didn't even recognise it as a 'jam' shows that they are kind of doing something wrong with it. I've actually been loving Twiggy on guitar since he rejoined Manson and that was the first time I felt kind of annoyed by his playing. I think there is a lot more they could have done with the song if it was actually a jam instead of just making it sound like a bad version of the original, you know.

Anyway, I don't want to be too negative because I thought the other stuff was pretty good. I actually hope when he plays in Vienna that he 'ruins' The Beautiful People because I don't particularly want to hear it either. I hope he is fucking shitfaced wasted and talks all the way through it. :)

The more I see them live with Twiggy as guitarist, the less I like it. The one song that really wasn't pulled off well live was Slo-Mo-Tion. I was really looking forward to hearing it live and was very disappointed. It was so sloppy.

Heather Quick
10-21-2012, 07:33 AM
I think some of you didn't like King Kill 33 live because the studio version is pretty much synthesized, including guitar, and this live version is raw, with no effects, just the guitar, drums and bass. At first I didn't like that much as well, but now I got used to it, and think it sounds fine. I wish they could play it properly (with the full lyrics and effects) though.

Norsefire

King Kill 33 is fucking brilliant live.
I always enjoyed it being pitch black before ACSS and then the lights slowly flashing up the podium, I still think that slow intro is an amazing way to open the song up and I miss it. But seeing them perform KK33 and then go straight into ACSS it's fucking good stuff! Can't wait to the UK tour.

Cannibal-Corpse
10-21-2012, 08:56 AM
King Kill 33 is great addition to set-list even if it's just the music prior to Anti-Christ Superstar. I hope one day it's played to its full potential live because i think it would be amazing.

I wish more from Holywood would come on the set-list besides the same old singles, same applies for Mechanical Animals. So many song's on both these albums that would work well with Manson's voice an be fun live.. New Model, Disassociative, Posthuman, Born Again, President Dead, The Death Song to name a few,

The band really needs to spice it up.

He messed up half of the lyrics in the video that was posted here. He even sang the wrong part when the whole band was at the chorus, trying to sing some of the verses. Just like The Beautiful People twice this year, he messed up singing verses in the chorus and vice-versa. I don't know what's the problem with MM from 2009 to now (he did before, but it were just a few and easily covered, these days it almost ruins the whole song), he has been forgotting his lyrics terribly in the middle of the song, although he has a freaking awesome memory of everything else, like situations, people (I see all the time people saying he remembered them from a show 5 years ago or something like that). It doesn't make any sense. Oh well.

Even more importantly: Judging Manson/concerts by YouTube videos. Obviously King Kill 33 is not gonna sound epic in an audience recorded video. Wait until you're actually there to witness it live and then judge again, I'd say.

Err... I was talking about Reflecting God (when it was played) which was posted here ON THIS FORUM, not on this thread. If you read the quote, Cringeon asked what was wrong with REFLECTING GOD, because I spoke about it a few pages ago, so I answered. I wasn't talking about King Kill 33 and even if I was, it wouldn't make any sense. You're just nitpicking, guys. Relax! :)

Easily one of my favorite performances from Manson at the shows I've caught on this tour so far! Upsets me when people say Manson is "forgetting" the words to his own songs. Do you think he is retarded? Hes not forgetting them, hes obviously bored with the songs on the setlist (other than the ones from Born Villain, obviously) and is having fun wih them. Ad libbing and switching stuff up can make a song thats 15 years old seem new again. One of the newest interviews I saw he was talking about how he is just trying to have fun with his sets these days because if he doesnt theres no point to doing it anymore. SO why are we...his fans...judging him? We are here to admire him and think hes awesome....you wanna do something else? theres prolly a different forum for that.
MUAH!

Well yeah, I can imagine that, but he should be able to change his setlist as he and the band wishes. I wouldn't see why the record company would provide what is played. But, I suppose that anything is possible. Manson should play what he wants to play.

:)

Plenty more where that came from, I just need to find the time to deal with it all once I'm back home for more than just a day or two. In the meantime I thought it might be nice to crank out a couple teasers, though.

Might wanna check your speakers, headphones, and/or settings however. I just double-checked and there's definitely sound in both channels, albeit a bit muffled on the left side. (Technical difficulties, btw...sorry!)

Dorothy

I just checked the video I got from youtube again and there is indeed sound on the left channel but it's very very low. i have to mute the right channel (to not get deaf) and turn the volume all up and even then it's still pretty low.

Here's a visualization from audacity to show the difference I'm encountering:

Maaaan, that's so weird.

So I've done a bunch of troubleshooting with all the gear involved and the stages of processing concerned and it seems like the Left Channel of my external stereo mic is pretty much broken. I mean, you and others are basically saying (and SHOWING, thanks for the graphic!) that there's NO LEFT CHANNEL WHATSOEVER for all intents and purposes. So that's pretty much gotta be the problem.

But the WEIRD part is that even after double-checking all my computer's stereo-balance outputs and my headphone's movie/music sound-mode settings I can STILL hear every word and note in the Left Channel at normal volume, albeit slightly muddier than the left, from the same YT uploads to which you guys are listening.

I still can't make heads-or-tails of what's going on there.

But the important thing is that I know something's screwed up and that I probably need to replace yet another mic, so THANK YOU SO MUCH for that! Better to know NOW than after I've used a PoS mic recording MORE shows, right?

So HUMBLEST APOLOGIES to anyone who's having a hard time with the audio. Just adjust the balance on your PC for the L-R outputs until you're comfortable or simply crank the speakers instead and it should be fine until I can find a better way to fix the audio on the videos themselves.

Glad you're enjoying them so much anyway and I look forward to sharing MUCH, MUCH more in the near future! Plenty more to come, I'm just short on time for the moment. It's a labor of love though, so I assure you I'll get to it ASAP!!!

Easily one of my favorite performances from Manson at the shows I've caught on this tour so far! He was just SO boisterous and full of energy, and I honestly LOVED all the improv ad libbed rants and sarcastic comments and lyric-changes he kept sprinkling throughout practically every song in the set this night. BRILLIANT stuff! Can't wait for everyone to see and hear for themselves just how incredibly awesome it really was. ;)
