After the prequel trilogy, I honestly don't think this is the worst thing in the world. Especially if George has nothing to do with 7. I probably won't see it in theaters, or even buy it when it comes out, but whatevs.

Disney is making a smart move by leaving the Lucas people in charge, and it's really not like George will go anywhere. This is just the Star Wars guys getting a huge influx of money and resources.

Seriously not too sure how to feel about all this.
I didn't feel that we needed any more Star Wars films even though the fan I am always makes me want more. But wanting more and getting more are different things, what if they make them and they turn out shit? I'd rather keep the six and be happy.

I wasn't impressed by that Clone Wars series that was put out, maybe that's just me because it seems to be a bit popular and they pumped out lots of action figures and toys for it. I refused to collect any of that stuff.

But then I've been thinking that maybe they might create something really awesome with the new films and do a really good job with them.
Anyway if I want this or not it's going to happen, I just hope they do it well. Either way I know I will be excited to see it when the time finally comes!

George Lucas not a writer or director for the next Star-Wars film? BRILLIANT!

He butchered the prequels, Disney makes some good films... Just get a great writer an director an this could turn out great.

Still want to know more about the story there gonna plan to approach an how there going to do the casting situation before i get overly excited.

The best film in the Star-Wars series is ''Empire Strikes Back'' which was also neither written or directed by Lucas. ( Also loved Return of the Jedi)

Great News Indeed, It's just to bad Lucas didn't make this decision before making the god awful prequels, Those could have been great

Kinda felt the same at first, but OHMYFUCK, SEASONS THREE & FOUR are sooooo fucking badass!!! And there's a LOT of great stuff sprinkled throughout the first two seasons, you just have to dig a little deeper. But, SERIOUSLY, the storylines and animation take a GIANT leap forward with the latter seasons. HIGHLY recommended!

The Star Wars prequels were terrible + Disney actually makes good movies = We may actually get a good Star Wars movie.

There definitely wasn't anything good happening with star wars coming from Lucas lately so I DO have (a new lol) hope for how this could turn out.

That's awesome on the cast line-up, until there was official word I was kind of 50/50% on if Harrison Ford would still do it. I'm sure either the script writing has to be good, or Disney has enough money to throw at it to make anyone sign on.
