I plan on making it to this one. The Grove is a nice fairly small venue. I think I have some pictures from the last time Manson played there.

Haha I have no idea. I just copy and pasted what it said. I would try both versions.

About to get in line for the meet and greet now with my fiance. We are staying right across the street. We checked in and they upgraded us to a two bedroom suite... Nice! If you see a tall skinny guy with short hair and a little blonde girl, that's me and my fiance. Feel free to say hi. We will probable hit up a bar after the meet and greet if anyone would like to join us for a drink.

Keep striking out everywhere! If anyone's got a medical marijuana card & a couple minutes to spare then I'll be the frustrated & sober-lookin' pigtailed guy in a Cub Scout shirt...

:( Alright, when I get to a computer (my laptop broke on the road) I will upload that video, but it won't be till after the tour is over. SO, I uploaded it to Haz E Kiah's Facebook wall captioned " For Provider Module" since everyone has his Facebook and it's not private, you can check it out there. If anyone knows how to grab that video off his, or my wall, and upload it to YouTube, you're more than welcome! I just don't have access to a computer, and its so complicated to upload to YouTube on iPhone's mobile app, of all devices....

During the mid-'90s, Marilyn Manson was vilified by parents and media outlets alike: he was all that is wrong with society, a scourge on our culture. Along with throngs of devoted fans, every tour stop was met with a passionate contingent of protestors, pious types hell-bent on thwarting his popularity. It could be argued they only helped propel it.
Nearly 20 years later, City National Grove of Anaheim welcomed a capacity crowd of Manson's dedicated followers. Often draped in bondage pants and military boots, with some carrying tin lunchboxes as accessories, these devotees were once again greeted by the same religious community, unrelenting in its aim to break his appeal.
That contentious climate did little to throw off fans – if anything it seemed to swell their anticipation. Few artists have balanced polarizing reactions and still enjoyed such longevity, and this night there would be no denying just why that is. His shock-rock has yielded a consummate showman. For fans old and new, there was nothing shocking about that.
Touring behind last year's "Born Villain," Manson has recently restored some of his dark glory, earning a Grammy nod for best hard rock performance for the track "No Reflection." Garnering overdue critical praise, the disc is his first after a three-year stretch in which the ghoul born Brian Warner, now 44, turned his attention to art and film projects.
The only dip in the evening came via an opening act that lasted a difficult 40 minutes. Butcher Babies, fronted by former Playboy playmates Heidi Shepherd and Carla Harvey, did their best to amp the room but fell way short. Complete with devil horns and f-bomb deployment ad nauseum, their pandering and gimmicks were too much for the crowd to overlook. Backed by guitarist Henry Flury of Amen and Chris Warner of Scars of Tomorrow, the group indulged choreographed hair-whipping and hokey heavy metal that overshadowed occasional shining moments of music.
When Manson finally appeared, sporting a studded leather jacket and clutching a butcher knife for a microphone, he barreled into "Hey, Cruel World ...," a sonic marriage somewhere between KMFDM and Killing Joke. He then immediately jumped into the fan favorite "Disposable Teens," inciting the gothic equivalent of a wave at a baseball game, complete with fist pumping and heavy chanting.
Before his rendition of Depeche Mode's "Personal Jesus" a recorded snippet from Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s "I Have a Dream" speech blared through the house. It's in such details that Manson reaffirms his showmanship: he has the ability to take the revered or sanctimonious and turn it into a musically macabre experience.
He proved it again with his rendition of Eurythmics' "Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)," one of the stunts that catapulted Manson to stardom. The transformation of the '80s synth-pop classic into something so interestingly gloomy seemed effortless.
Besides occasionally praising California, either sarcastically or sincerely, there was little stage banter in the hour-long set, which culminated with a staple of his deepened catalog: "Irresponsible Hate Anthem" was just as blistering and terrifying as it was when "Antichrist Superstar" initially scared pastors and soccer moms across the country.
Marilyn Manson has long let go of the shock-rock moniker; he's such an established part of the pop-culture landscape that he didn't seem out of place in a recent turn on Showtime's "Californication." He probably laughs at the outcry he can still attract. The ambiguity, the violence, the sexuality – these are all elements you might find in some PG movies now.
But it was never the shock that warranted his success anyway. It was the music and the show.
