But what about getting a good spot in general admission if you don't line up because you're passing out bills?

They are talking about days leading up to the show. Not for the day of the show, it's about hitting places people who would be into MM might hang (bars, concerts, record shops) and just get the word out about the show.

I think they mean to pass out flyers in the queue before the doors open, so to advertise other events and stuff.
