It was an amazing show.

I remember watching this every Friday night for a time.

It's almost hard to believe there used to be quality tv shows for kids/teens back in the day.

And Mr. Feeny's wisdom is more relevant than ever:

I wasn't a huge fan but I did enjoy the show. Curious to see how terrible the Girl Meets World reboot turns out. At least Topanga's hot ass will be there!

I've spent most of my elementary school years and junior high school years watching this show. I sometimes forget how much I've liked it back then, but it was one of those shows that I've consistently enjoyed from the first season all the way to the last season. Interestingly enough, I actually didn't like George Feeny that much as a child (Yeah, I was just a kid thinking a way kid does.), but the older I got, the more I got to appreciate him more and more as a character. And from my understanding, some of Shawn Hunter's plots seemed to be the most interesting yet the most screwed up from time to time. I also enjoyed the occasional comic relief provided by Eric Matthews as well.

Here's one of my favorite episodes by the way. It's called On The Air. "Shawn Hunter: Don't move. Maybe he doesn't see us."

I also liked how there were South Park references in the much later episodes like And Then There Was Shawn.

One of my all time favorites! Great humor and life lessons. Such a great cast too and the characters were very relatable. I miss it! Some channels do still play it though. Who else remembers the Halloween episode were they all "die" at John Adams High? It used to scare me so much!

Edit: Just saw the post above me with And Then There Was Shawn. Sorry!

I wish we still had shows like this. It's hard to find a good family show anymore that is this funny and actually teaches people something about life.

Great thread!

Um, why has nobody mentioned the giant crush they had on Sean Hunter/Rider Strong yet?

I also think it's interesting how Ben Savage played almost the exact same role that his brother Fred Savage played in The Wonder Years as Kevin Arnold, and also how Boy Meets World aired in 1993, and The Wonder Years concluded in 1992, so it was almost like second generation continuation thing.

Incidentally, Fred Savage also produced and occasionally directed one of the greatest TV shows ever made, "Party Down."

Not that I'm hijacking this thread to promote a better program or anything.
