Can we assume that there will be more non-festival dates?
If that is a indoor show, I'm going!!!!

Best show I've ever seen, beats all the other ones. Mister Superstar. Tyler fucking Bates. Still in Prague and only on my phone, so review and uploads later.

Just came home from an 3 1/2 hours drive back to Germany.
In a nutshell:

Best show I've seen. The Band especially Tyler is so damn good and adds so much to the music. It's a pleasure just listening to and watching the band. Manson himself was top notch. AWTSW sounded like it was recorded in 1996. He talked a lot which was awesome.
Best Sweet Dreams performance ever.
Manson seems to hate the drummer. I don't know why, he is tight as fuck.
Some jabbing and badmouthing between Twiggy and Manson during get your gunn, where Twiggy gave the band a sign to end the song, cause Manson didn't know the text.
Manson seems to love Tyler Bates. Great chemistry between the two.
There were only two fuck ups on Manson part (Second verse Get your gunn and first verse beautiful people)
No Reflecting God, Little Horn or Tourniquet.
HIGHLIGHT OF THE NIGHT: Manson jammed 30 second with Tyler Bates and they played MOONAGE DAYDREAM by DAVID BOWIE.
Just amazing.

Sorry no pics or vids, this time I've just enjoyed the show. Detailed review tomorrow or sometimes later.
This is Manson in all his and the bands glory. Proud to be a fan!

That jam was amazing, I really hope someone recorded it. Felt longer than 30 seconds. Perfect voice.

The Get Your Gunn fuck-up was hilarious. Second half of the song was basically an endless "Fuck your god" chant.

The end of The Dope Show was hilarious too, when Manson threw himself down and started laughing hysterically.

Manson got mad because Gil started Hate Anthem before Manson got a chance to do his speech/chant so after the song he threw his mic stand on the drums and wrecked some of the drums with it. At this point I thought the show was over haha.

Too many highlights. Made last night's (amazing!!!) show look like rehearsals for this night.

They played it as part of the jam or they played it in full?

I think Tyler is one of the best things Manson could have added to the band.. I remember talking about the production on the last album after it coming out and although BV had amazing songs the production lacked. A lot of fans on here agreed that adding a new outside producer would be the best thing for the band going forward on future albums. Well by the production quality on Cupid Carries A Gun tells me Tyler was the perfect choice. My fav Manson band member since John 5.

Mexxecutioner, the get your gunn thing was serious? Like, Twiggy was mad or anything or just laughing?

The videos are great, I hope he comes to Brazil this next tour. I'd shit myself

Mexxecutioner

I don't think it was serious! Just the general "Manson fucks up, blames everyone else". Although I got the feeling, there was tension between the two the whole gig. But perhaps I misinterpreted that. Let`s see what the others say about it.

We're home now too. The show was amazing! The new guitar guy is fine, but Tyler adds a whole new level to the sound, I loved it and hope they will keep two guitars (and Tyler!). That was for me the main difference between Vienna (without Tyler) and Prague (with him). Bass suits Twiggy better, I loved the new band. Sweet Dreams on stilts in Prague were very nice (I normally hate that song). The setlist changes were nice too!
I preferred the venue in Vienna though, despite it being open air and that it was raining - Lucerna is beautiful, but they should finally do something about the air supply - there was none during the whole show - it was like one huge marble steam pot.
Before the show, we got Texas Radio by the Doors in Vienna, and this hilarious song before both shows (right before the intro):
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FcRG_HkkoPA
We made some videos at both shows, I need to look at them and if they're any good, will upload them to youtube, as always (they're HD).

Loved the band's performance during Mister Superstar. By far the strongest sounding live incarnation of the group since The Golden Age of Grotesque. Tyler Bates and Gil Sharone are fucking bosses, Twiggy is an institution in his own right, and Paul Wiley can clearly play. However, Manson's vocal performance leaves a lot to be desired, imo.

Yeah, I wish Manson would either play to a vocal backing track on choruses (which would mean he'd have to actually remember the words) or allow one of the other 3 people to sing backup, so he can actually sing his lines. The screaming still sounds pretty solid about 80% of the time, but by doing it he's killing his voice to the point where he can't sing basic lower octave lines. He's not 25 anymore, he's going to wreck his vocal chords for good if he doesn't make some changes.

Jesus. Fucking. Christ. With two guitarists, Manson sounds near-90s level again in my opinion. I mean, I went into the THEoL tour a complete fanboy, but I just couldn't help but be sadly disappointed, even after weeks of trying to convince myself "no, it's awesome, really." The BV tour, things improved immensely, but there was a bit of disorganization here and there, it took awhile to get into the groove, etc. etc. I had moderate expectations with this summer tour, I thought it'd be a warmup to next year, maybe slightly below par to some of the better dates of 2013 considering he hadn't played in awhile, but a good test for the new members. I have to say, when I first saw a video of Angel With the Scabbed Wings in Utrecht, it was the first time in about half a decade where I didn't cringe inside at a single point. In fact, I found myself... for some reason... headbanging, with enthusiasm and energy. My expectations were utterly fucking shattered. A second guitarist is exactly (EXACTLY) the ingredient that Manson has been missing, and I've had that thought since first seeing him with Rammstein. The way his voice has evolved, the way the technology has evolved, and the things that can be done backstage to substitute for most of the important synth parts, two guitars makes the music sound how it should be live, and adds a whole new level to it all. I could literally hear the difference in massive ways on the dates Tyler wasn't playing, and then I went back and watched some of the 2013 dates. It just sounds to me that something is missing in his live show these days without two guitars, it isn't complete. Seeing the first few videos from the most recent date, again, fucking killer. Mr. Manson, keep two guitarists, and don't ever change that for the rest of your career.

It's definitely one of the Requiem movements by Mozart. I believe it is called Rex tremendae. It's on YouTube. Look for Karajan's rendition - the best rendition IMO - of Mozarts requiem, and find the Rex Tremendae movement, I'm pretty sure it's that.

Pretty sweet set. The new band sounds great. I like the addition of a second guitarist. Definitely gives it a heavier sound while relying less on backing tracks. This is not really a new tour, just a continuation of the HCW tour. It's appropriate though. Gives the band some rehearsal time before the new album.

Just got back from the best trip ever. Prague is absolutely beautiful, so my friend and I decided to stay one more day before going back to Vienna.

We got to Prague at 1:00pm, checked in our hotel and went straight to the venue. At 2:00pm there were already 30-40 people waiting in line, but somehow I made it to the front row again.

The show was absolutely incredible. While last night's show was already great, Prague was insanely good. The band sounds like it's 1998-2003. Tyler Bates is the best thing that could have happened to the band. The sound was huge. Manson was amazing too, talked a lot and sounded perfect.

I can't believe I got to hear Mister Superstar live. I've never been too crazy about the song live (1997 or 2014), it always seemed a bit odd live. This is where I was proven wrong (and everyone else who judges a performance after watching a YouTube video without actually being there!!!). Incredible performance.

I can honestly say that this was the best show I've ever been to, and even my friend said it was one of the best shows he's ever been to, and he's not a die-hard fan. After this show, though, he said he is and even wants to get a Manson tattoo now. So fuck everyone who says I love everything Manson does because I'm a fan boy. This was just an incredible show, period.

I took some videos with my phone's camera, without looking at what I was filming, so the videos aren't too great.

First of all, I must clear that I havent been to any gig of this mini tour, so what I say is only based on some obviously low quality videos that emerged, but I wanted to leave some words. I just love the new Manson make up, very interesting. The new line up sounds good, I enjoy Tyler's input, as well as the new guitar guy. Twiggy is an institution himself, particularly on bass, so dont even need to discur on him. The setlist is by far the most interesting in years, but Manson needs to put his things together. Fucking up that bad amazing songs like Mr Superstar is a fucking NO. Walking onstage fucking wasted will Not make me want to buy a ticket, book an hotel and pay transports to see it. It won't, no matter if you're a newbie or a big rock n roll star, it's a lack of respect for who's going to see you and it won't make you any cooler, it will make you compromise what could be a tremendous show. I'm a total advocator for freedom, but we all know Manson can do better than this. I dont care if you spend the whole night consuming and drinking, as long as I dont go to a show to see a pale projection of what my inspiration can be. And it can be a lot. By the way, thats probably the worst jacket one could dress to open a show with the amazing AWTSW, where the hell did he find that horrible heavy potato bag that clearly doesnt let him move?! My god.. Overall, some signs of the new era (like the symbol) are already known, but this still feels pretty much like the ending of the previous.

Dude, lay off the crack. Manson fucking delivered. It was probably the best fucking show in over a decade. Look up a rare performance of Mister Superstar from 1997, and you'll see fuck ups too. Who the fuck cares. He forgot some words during Get Your Gunn too, and turned it into the best and funniest performance of that song ever. Watch him at the Bizarre Festival 1997, almost exactly 17 years ago. There he was fucking wasted, his voice was croaky - and he fucked up Get Your Gunn.

Who the fuck cares. I was at the show, and it's always different when you're actually at the show. Stop judging goddamn YouTube clips, for fucking Christ without Christ's sake.

If you don't wanna spend money on the show, your fucking loss. You'll just miss a band that's on fire, a great setlist and stage show, and most of all Manson, who was NOT drunk at the show and had the best voice out of all the shows I've been to.

Go see other bands then, maybe you'll like their jackets more.

I'm so sick of bullshit comments like yours, from people who weren't even at the show. Even my friend, who's not a fan, said that it's one of the best shows he's ever been to. After just one show (Vienna) he became a fan, and was especially surprised by how amazing Manson is live, and how he interacts with the audience.

Manson is not the typical "now everyone jump and clap wooohooo smile, I love you!". He gets on stage, does his thing, and that's it. That's why I fucking love seeing him live, and why many other bands just annoy me live, even if I like their music.

There is no other performer like Manson. Am I biased when I say this? Probably, I'm a huge fan. But I'm a fan for a reason. I love Manson because I love his live shows, not the other way around. I had some criticism for the shows in 2007, 2009 and 2012 myself, I'm not an ass-kissing fan boy. There were some lame performances in 2007, some train wrecks in 2009 and still some room for improvement in 2012. But these two shows in 2014 were fucking badass.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2cwz8sajqGE

Just watch this fucking performance and tell me you wouldn't pay money to see this. He fucking nailed it, and killed the other songs as well.

...and Vienna wasn't even the best show from this mini-tour (it was right after Prague the second best show I've seen, but it was open-air, raining, less intimate, a few technical issues, no Tyler Bates, no stilts, no backdrop, etc.)

Kudos to those who film full songs and full shows, don't have the arm strength for that.

It's too bad Manson can't really sing anymore. Instead he goes off more into a rap or a sort of rhythmic poetic speech not that that's bad. He can scream all right, but even that sounds exhausted and winded. But it's like he can't decide how to balance between the speech and screams. I get he's not as young as he use to be, but that doesn't mean he has to sound and move like he has the health of a dotard on pep pills. 46 is not that old. There's only a handfull of songs he can still do that suits his voice. Overall it's a good show and I appreciate that's he's still doing them, but a little disappointing after seeing how more lively his shows like Grotesk Berlesk use to be. Still I find his new era promising after much enjoyment of his last era. I guess that's the price you pay for nearly a lifetime of intoxicants, fortunately intoxication is the best way to enjoy these shows.

PRAGUE

I know the audio sucks, but this beats most Dead to the World performances:

EDIT: Looks like being on fire is contagious. I'm calm, I'm calm.

You know what, sometimes we have to push peoples buttons in a way so that we can bring up the best from them. I actualy sympathize and relate with your passion. You evidently had a great experience over there and are now showing how you appreciated it and how unfair some outside reviews can be. Its legit and totaly great you do that. It happened with me several times already and I can understand where you come from. Thats why I started saying I wasn't actualy present at any of these shows so that it should be taken with a grain of salt. It wasn't the best thread to write this as this particular show did seem to be much better than several others from this mini tour - as all solo shows always are -, the comment wasn't specifically about this one too, more of a general comment on the whole thing. I didnt want to ruin your post-show enjoyment so I'm sorry If I did in some way.

Despite that, as you know, there is more than one opinion about everything and I will never compromise mine for anything, even if it differs from yours or anyone elses. Rock n Roll's libertine idiosyncrasy stimulates mistakes, of course (thank god it does!), but the way I see it it isnt a passport for non stop fuck ups. So if you dont care about them fine, but when they start being more prevalent than they should be, I start caring about them because they kinda compromise my experience as a listener. Even if it doesnt look or sound so these days, Manson used to be a perfeccionist to the point of recording the shows to study and take the best effect out of theatrics, proops and moves. Of course he also fucked up bad back then, but I think now its becoming more a "I do what I want, even if I fuck it all up because, you know, I'm Marilyn Manson and this is rock". While he was promoting BV, he said he didn't want to take things for granted in the sense of didnt wanting to presume everyone in the audience even knew him, so he wanted to impress them the same way he used to do when he began. Well, I dont think fucking it up will help you with that. Whats the point of having a great backing band of talented musicians if you keep acting non-professionaly? For you, it was a great Get you Gunn version, and I'm glad it was, but not for me. And yes, he screamed greatfully on Little Horn, but well, fucked it up too lol

You don't need to tell me how's a typical Manson onstage, I listen to the band since ACSS and go to their shows since The Last Tour on Earth. Believe me, I know how amazing he is and its precisely because of that that I must speak my mind when I think he can do better. I'll never be a yes man and a yes fan. You may think this is just bitchery, but its not. Manson is, by far, the most important artistic reference I can find since the 90's and nothings gonna change that. He's Far better than he was on HEOL tour, but what can I tell you... He just familiarized me with A level amazing-quality live shows and I think he's still up to them. I'm anticipating a great new era by the way.

I like deep emotional challenging answers, so my respect to you :)

cheers and keep rocking
