I thought that this could go here since a lot of his works definitely count as video entertainment. I'm also amazed at all the great lengths he went with the Internet, as he's on YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter. It just seems to boost his popularity and fame more and more as if he never went away after all these decades. I've also figured that he's often an enormous hit or miss for most people, so I'll also understand if you can't stand him at all.

I've always been puzzled by how Richard can still be so barrel chested when he purportedly exercises so vigorously. Bet he sneaks many a cheese burger on the sly...

I thought he was dead.

LOL personally, I think the guy is on some serious fucked up drug, a drug that no one has heard of.

All I can say is...

All that glitter is COLD.

The thing that gets me is his maudlin weeping when he interviews especially heavy folks. It's pathetic. I mean, I'd be mortified if he were to behave that way around me. Yeah, I'm hevva set, but if carried on around me like he does on tv, etc, that would embarrass me beyond belief. I suppose he thinks he's being empathic, but come on...

Good guy, he's helped so many people. He's still in the closet though. He's not getting any younger, nothing wrong with being true to yourself and facing reality.

Why is this a thread?

He's all right in small doses, funny guy. Whether or not that's intentional or not is debatable.

I just made the Richard Simmons thread in this section because his works definitely count as video entertainment as he's released a lot of VHS tapes and DVDs under Richard Simmons. (His real name is actually Milton Teagle Simmons.) He also doesn't seem to show any signs of slowing down with his official YouTube channel, which also counts as video entertainment. He's also done some acting on actual TV shows and movies. I used to think that it was just an impersonator on Rocko's Modern Life, but it actually turned out to be the real Richard Simmons.

Anyway, I was also just curious as to what other people on Provider Module might've thought about him, and most of my guesses seemed to be correct so far. I also liked his interviews with Howard Stern, but I'd also like to see how he'd do on Opie & Anthony, assuming that he ever tries to get on their show.
