This is Manson's first NOLA gig since Oct. 2003. Bout fucking time! Bought my ticket during the Citi presale this morning. Champions Square is a pretty unique venue. Can't wait!

Finally, he's coming to New Orleans! I just bought my ticket. I can't wait! It'll be my first Manson show. PLUS Smashing Pumpkins!

Can anyone explain the situation for this show? Seated only or is there a pit? TM seating chart says their is a pit and stubhub lists "floor" tickets in addition to seated ones but doesn't show where they are on the map.

the floor is all reserved seating. Then there's a section in the back that's GA. Here's the chart...

That's a weird-looking venue if I've ever seen one.

Just getting home. Man, what a fucking show! Place was sold out which is always nice. Cage was decent. Nobody really payed much attention to his set, but I dug it. Anyways, Manson was next of course. I must say, this being my 11th Manson gig since 2001. This was probably the sharpest I've heard Manson. The band as a whole was great. But, Manson..flawless. Definitely the most energetic performance in quite some time as well. A lot of interaction between Manson, Twiggy and the crowd. He mentioned his time living in NOLA on a few different occasions and how it played a big role in the bands history (This was their first show in New Orleans in 12 years btw). But, just a fantastic all around show. It just went by soo damn fast. Same set as previous dates.

Deep Six
Disposable Teens
mOBSCENE
No Reflection
Third Day of A Seven Day Binge
Sweet Dreams
Angel With the Scabbed Wings
Personal Jesus
The Dope Show
Rock Is Dead
Lunchbox
Antichrist Superstar
The Beautiful People
Coma White

My personal favorite highlights: No Reflection, AWTSW (first time hearing it live), Lunchbox, and Coma White.

BTW, the Pumpkins were fantastic as well. I didn't care for them the last time I saw them live which was in '07. But I truly think Chamberlin being back, makes quite a difference. I really enjoyed it. Corgan was great. Band as a whole was tight. Good stuff.

I feel like Cage came out with a bad attitude. I thought his performances were good though.

This was my first time seeing Manson, and, to be honest, I was a little worried since he can be hit or miss sometimes. But he was absolutely fantastic. My favorite performance was Angel With The Scabbed Wings. it was motherfucking brutal. The band was awesome. I had so much fun. I'm beyond elated right now. I've been a fan for a good while now and getting to finally see him live, tearing it up, was oh so satisfying.

I really enjoyed The Smashing Pumpkins set too. I was kind of surprised that people left after Manson's set though.

Here's two vids I recorded. They're not the best, but decent enough.

The shows have been amazing but taking Killing Strangers off the setlist is a big loss. That song was amazing live when I saw it back in April. Still not sure why more songs aren't being played off the Pale Emperor. I really wish he would release an album and promote it live like he did in his early days. Setlist full with what ever New album is out with the greatest hits at a minimum. Mechanical Animals , Holywood and GAOG era's is a good example.

This
.
Definitely - more of the current album's songs !!!! When I saw him in Milwaukee earlier this year KS, TDoaSDB and CCaG were beyond belief to me. To be there belting them out along with the band and hoards of others was priceless - prolly my best concert going experience in years and definitely one of the best Manson's shows I have seen as well.
.
TPE is absolutely top notch - the album is my new drug - Rx: Spin it once a day....

I was pretty disappointed by where GA was located at the venue. This being my 6th MM show, I'm used to being up close and personal, sweating flesh to flesh with my fellow audience members. But, in this case, we stepped back and really got a whole new perspective of the Manson experience. This also being the largest of venues where I've seen them, I was able to really take in the magnitude of this tour's theatrics. It was beautiful and awesome. The set-list is of course really predictable at this point, but hearing Lunchbox for the first time was amazing - especially with 'The End' formulated into it, leading up to Manson's signature scream that sent chills down my spine - 'Mother! I want to FUUUUUUUCKKK!!!!'

'Til next time.

Thanks for the vids. I was unable to attend. Might catch him on Halloween in Biloxi, though.

eta: I found it amusing that the (full-lenth) video had 666 views.

My first Manson show and it was such a fantastic show. Can't wait to see them again on Halloween!!

I saw Smashing Pumpkins in 2007 in New Orleans. Jimmy Chamberlain was in the band during that performance as well. He left in 2009 and this current tour was his first tour back! So while I do agree with you, Chamberlain being back makes a HUGE difference. I just had to point out that the previous time you mentioned seeing them and didn't care for them...he was in the band then as well.
