I've never bought a Meet & Greet ticket before but i'm considering it and i was wondering how others have experienced the previous meet & greets. Does anyone know the process after buying the ticket? Will it be sent to you through e-mail or something? How does it all work and what can i expect?

We got into a fight at first over something and then I told him I paid for my pictures. "Deal with it". He protested. I was held aside briefly. He came back out after a drink. We talked about life in general for a few minutes. Real nice guy. Then was gave each other a handshake, a quick hug then I gave him lyrics I had written in hopes of some of them making it onto a record someday. I can't wait to hear this album. The beautiful people. The beautiful people aaaHHHH You know? da da da da da

Don't spend money on it is my recommendation. Ain't it like a couple hundred? It's just a photo and quick conversation at most and then he'll forget you ever existed. I mean, if you really want to support him go for it, but I think it's all a sham.

They email you an update with details pertaining to your day of the show. Sometimes they do the meet and greet before the show and sometimes after. It will tell you to be at the venue at a certain time for the check in process. The past few times I had an awesome lady who did check-in and made sure everything went smoothly. You will have an amazing time. If you have any other questions, hit up my inbox.

That few minutes with someone's idol could mean the world to a fan. A few hundred dollars seems worth It, considering you're getting a autographed Lithograph of his painting, a photo with him, seeing his tour bus, and meeting him, along with a conversation maybe. Plus you get everything the HUD Package gets, so the gifts alone are great. And it comes with a ticket to the show lol. Maybe if you met him (Or want to), you'd understand.

If you don't have money in the savings and you're living check to check, don't do it. ain't THAT worth it. I actually think it's fairly lame, I expected more but oh well.

When I met him, he didn't know wtf a selfie was and looked at me like I was a shit for brains person. I pounded his fist and said boom and he got confused then lifted his shirt so I could see his dad bod and saw he had boom tatted on his left side going down his body and I was just like "well great, now I know what his dad bod looks like upclose in person...not awkward". he kept laughing at me calling him brochacho. got mad i told him wearing a leather jacket in the southwest is the stupidest thing you could ever do and his only rebuttle was "i'm from hell". gtfo manson.

There's a lot I enjoy. Ask me what I think of Skold's work in the band. Manson's paintings. His [singing] voice. His shweg. I can't help that I say things how I feel. He asked, I delivered. I'm just basically saying it was OK to meet him. I'd do it again if it's within my budgeting means but I will not go out of my way again because it was so par. Seriously, what's so amazing about spending $150 for a minute or less convo and two pictures? If you think it's quite the bargain for a check-to-check living person then pay me $150 and we will shoot the shit for an hour and a picture. ;)

Just Do It.

Nike endorses this message to Manson's fans.

Next M&G year will be more expensive ;) You're his fan, you admire him and his work and you obviously Want to have a convo with the man. If his time were free, he wouldn't have the time to create anything because he'd be indulging his fans 24/7... and if you want that free meeting, prepare to be a stalker and grab a seat in-line at the airport or outside his bedroom window- not really advising those actions* maybe locate the tour bus prior to end of gig? :/

& Idk whats up with TheImpalers dad-themed criticisms. You'd think his dad impaled him as a kid, who knows?

I'm of two minds about meet & greets. On one hand, it's got to be incredibly awkward for the musicians to be corralled into a petting zoo for a half-hour with people nutty enough to spend a few hundred for the privilege. On the other hand, I guess it beats getting accosted on the street or in an airport; I mean, at least they know they're about to endure something unpleasant and can adequately prepare themselves mentally. I prefer my interactions with beloved artists to occur naturally and organically, like the time David Bowie bummed a Marlboro Light off of me outside the Kit Kat Club in NYC because someone in his entourage didn't want him smoking cigarettes.

TL;DR: I am at least partially responsible for David Bowie's death.

Play nice kids. On topic though i'm also divided on the M&G. On one side there is the fandom of being a fan for 15 years, get some limited merch and guitar picks and last but not least maybe the opportunity to slip him my demo. On the other hand i don't want that awkward shit but i'm not an awkward person so i don't really see that happening.

When i look at Bowie it makes me kinda sad that i've never been able to meet him one way or another. If Manson dies i might regret it as well since he's been a major influence in my life for the past 15 years.

There's something about the current market around meet and greets I desperately dislike, obviously as a fan of Manson I'd like to meet him, but paying to seem them perform and paying to stand there for a minute feel very different to me. That being said I'm a massive hypocrite because I would have sold a kidney to be in the same room as Bowie.

What is it now? $150? I can't remember how much it was when I did the meet and greet back in 2013, it might have been the same, maybe $50 cheaper. I feel like $150 isn't bad, considering all the stuff you get with it. I just find the whole thing exciting. Waiting in line and all to catch a glimpse of him and then walk up to the table and shake his hand. Sounds so ridiculous, but I'd do it again.

Something that no one ever seems to mention when weighing the value of the M&G pricing is all the time it saves.

Sure, the free swag included is great too and of course you could just hang out by the busses and cross your fingers hoping to meet him for free...but you have to consider how extremely unlikely that is, too.

Out of the 179 times I've seen Manson live I think I've seen him come out and chat with fans by the busses maybe something like seven times.

If you have a special gift you want to give him or something to say to him or even just want an autograph or a handshake and consider how many days, weeks, months, years, and even DECADES you might have to wait by the busses otherwise then I think you'd agree it's really a hell of a deal at almost any price.

And if you get the Litho it's only available on the Europe solo dates. It's something that will go up in value. I wish there were a way for me to buy it in the US. I've done it 6 times. Worth it every time. If this helps Manson keep doing what he does then so be it. People love it. Why not?

It's $395.00 this time in The US. Some states charge tax and ticket master gets their fee. It's actually less than Zombie or Cooper at $500.00 The ones for Cincinnati and Pittsburgh sold out within 24 hours. Either it's less people or people really dig meeting Manson that much.

Hazekiah
07-31-2017, 12:30 AM
It's both.

Manson doesn't have all day, especially when he's getting ready for a show, to just hang around with every fan with some spare cash to blow. Capping the number of M&G tickets sold allows him to not rush through the process and cheat anyone and likewise explains the increased price due to the increased exclusivity and indulgence of the experience.

Personally, I liked the earlier version through the previous M&G handlers better, which got everyone 2 or 3 HQ pix AFTER the show and frequently ran well past midnight and cost less, but the Polaroid pic and better/more swag is pretty cool too so it's a WIN/WIN either way.

:)

Each to their own.

I wouldn't do it, because when I go to concerts then I'm there listening to the music, and to have fun with my close friends.

I respect MM because I like some of his music, but he is just another man to me just like the man I buy my groceries from.

I've just recently realised that Marilyn Manson is more to me than just an artist like any other that I might enjoy. He influenced my life a LOT. I had something to hold on to because of him, when I had nothing or no one. Things have changed now, but I still don't take it for granted.

For my 30th birthday this year I will see Depeche Mode twice (Stuttgart and Barcelona) and I'm going to see Marilyn Manson in Munich, Vienna and London. I will be attending the meet and greet in Munich and in Vienna. I saw him back in Munich and it was nice. I just get so awkward around him and am terrified to say something to bother him or something, when really I would just like to say what I am saying here: That I am beyond thankful that he and his music exist. There's something about meeting him that is exciting and almost otherworldy. I guess it depends how much the guy means to every individual.

No signatures?

Fucks sakes :( Paid £240 for it and no signatures and Europe don't even get a signed poster or anything, just the photo and the pin badges + secret merch item. This sounds like it's gonna be a bit of a letdown, which sucks massively :(

I really wanted to get the ticket from my first Manson show signed (first ever rock show and got me into rock) and a vinyl signed. I thought they were selling less so they were more intimate and lasted longer, yet there's no time for signatures?

satanspropaganda Not uncommon, and not uncommon for people to still get their shit signed.
I ended up not bringing my MA vinyls because I didn't wanna worry about them during the show- good thing, too, because I probably wouldn't have got them on the bus because of their bulky size. I'd say it will be easy to get that original ticket in and signed. "Instead of signing our picture, can you sign this ticket...?" And fuck signatures, you're gonna Meet Marilyn Manson.

There's emails from future beat to some friends saying you don't get any signature on your polaroid either this time :( Nor is it on the bus apparently. I'm a little upset by this haha, I saw your posts about it from last year and thought we were gonna be getting the same package!

It'll be amazing to meet him I know :D I might take the ticket and a sharpie anyway :) But looks like vinyl is out the question!

I guess my annoyance is at the fact the US is getting a better deal with a pro photo and a signed poster, we get an unsigned polaroid and no poster for the same price :')

To be honest, if you really want something signed - especially like a ticket. Bring a sharpie with you and ask Manson personally. Pre-show M&G are always restricted by time which is why I always prefer the after show ones. In 2012, you lined up to get your stuff signed and then you lined up to get pictures with Manson and Twiggy.

While the people were saying they wouldn’t sign more than 2 items, they were signing way more.

So, info I have off 3 people I know who have done this so far:

It's in a room in the venue, darkened and just one member of staff in there with Manson
You go in one by one, however some couples choose to go in as a pair
40-50 people per date for VIP on EU leg
Between 30sec - 2mins with Manson each
No items allowed in, however if it's in your pocket, Manson will gladly sign anything :)
One photo on a polaroid, signed by Manson to you
Exclusive merch item is a small bag with new Manson branding on it
He's being amazing apparently, hugging everyone and really friendly all tour

It seems like an awesome package, I am very excited for mine! Either hoping I can get a setlist in Manchester/Glasgow to get him to sign, or will take my ticket from the first time I saw him!

The photos look lovely too, he doesn't seem to mind getting super close with everyone :D

But by the time of our Meet and Greet, someone the day before had snuck in 10 CDs, so management were not happy. We had our pockets actually searched inside, patted down, frisked and the full works before meeting Manson (well guys did, women were free to sneak anything in). Kind of soured the experience having every bit of you searched before you go in to meet him, to then leave and be stood among women with Signed CDs, setlists and stuff :/

The meet and greet is great! But I really hope they change the rules for next year, or at least make it fairer

been to what used to be post show afterparty, which was more casual hanging with band members. then adventures in wonderland meet and greets, which of course the band would sign anything, spend up to a few minutes chatting. this latest m&g seems very streamlined and obviously over the years the cost of these has gone up. still if you want a decent picture with the band its worth the organized lines and so forth

I have a normal ticket for a upcoming show in may. Although I would love to get my hands on a meet and greet one. Its still not on sale, also isnt on any other date after this one. Is it possible it will still come or he just wont do any meet and greets the rest of the year?
