View Full Version : London Calling...

It has reached my attention that the last great meeting of Modules was in 2009. That's nearly ten years ago. Absolutely unacceptable.

So, with this in mind I am suggesting we use the remaining months of the year to plan a communal gathering based around the London date. Who already has tickets, who will be going, will we be meeting for the first time, and are any overseas Modules gonna make it?

Let's roll.

I'm flying in to Manchester on the 4th from Malaysia, and will be there if anyone wants to say hello, not sure of the logistics of London yet. Last time was a lot of fun, met a load of you guys there, would like to sort something out again.

Not unless he is playing there July next year. :/

I'm a new user of this forum, been lurking for a while, I had previous accounts with the Mansonusa and NK forums in the past but only recently bothered to open account on Provider Module but I have a lot of respect for the regular contributors on this forum.

I'm going to the London date and more than happy to meet up with other like minded Manson fans, I have plenty of friends where I live but none really into what I like music wise, so it would be good I do bump into other people with similar interests. If i go down the pub with my Rammstein shirt on (always a good conversation started/ice breaker), i get people come up to me who are fans of theirs too and we always get on like a house on fire and have a good chat, so its a yes from me.

Dude, when someone named Nightjar breaks their silence to say YES, well...YOU ALWAYS SAY YES BACK.

Pix, plz.

This is not going to work for me. According to my calculations, it will take 57.81 hours to jetski from Manhattan to London, and as there is clearly no other acceptable mode of transport, I will regretfully have to be missing you guys :(.

ps please come here instead one day.

I'll need to book it asap, but I've been on the fence about flying over. Suggestions on cheapest methods or places to stay? - shoot me a message.

Correct me if I'm wrong but there was a meet-up in 2011. Whether it was great or not that's up for debate.

Back on topic, I do have tickets for the London show and am going with my other half. Cannot make plans far in advance ATM but depending on what date the meeting will take place I might make it. I live an hour away from London Waterloo station and do have a spare bed if anyone needs to crash.

Fucking hurrah! I'm not sure about travel, but AirBNB might be the best bet for London. If I lived closer I'd make arrangements here, but that's just gonna add unnecessary expense and distance. If you're there though, I might take a few more days off for it...

Sorry, yeah there have been some smaller gatherings, I should've specified it being centred around a show.

Excellent! Well having made contact again recently, we should make sure to catch up either before, or on the day.

The more people involved the better, I'd be aiming to meet a few hours before the gig as is the procedure, find a suitable watering hole beforehand.

Also yes, Nightjar, the more the merrier! Welcome to Provider Module. I guess we'll put some more ideas together for this a bit closer to the time, but it'll be nice to make a shortlist of who may attend.

Bah! Moving the goalposts!

Okay, then...maybe the 11/11/04 at EatYourGod's place after Manson's AAG show in St. Louis?

We had Nicolae, EatYourGod, m_absinthe/j_absinthe, alizarin_rose, myself, and Terroja/TheAmazingAtheist, lol.

Lucky for you, Shangri-LIE is still banned from the U.K.

I'd be in for this! Make the last date of the tour extra special and whatnot, plus it'd be really cool to meet some more fans :)

Only thing I'd be working out is we were planning to get there early to try and get down the front, but I'd try and pop along for a bit if it was before the show (girlfriend is a little shy so usually prefers to stay in the queue)

Thank you, I'm booked into the Premier Inn that just down the road from the venue, booked it as soon as I got the show tickets. I guess the whole hotel will be largely full of like minded Manson fans!

Excellent! Well havig made contact again recently, we should make sure to catch up either before, or on the day.

If anything is taking place on any day before the show, I need to know ASAP so I can book a day off work. My manager is pressuring me to book my days off for the rest of the year anyway, plus I have someone potentially moving in with me by the end of the year so I might need time off for this also, except I don't know when it's going to happen. It sounds messy, I know, but it's beyond my control so it is what it is. However, if there's a meet-up on Friday the 8th of December for example I'm 99.9% sure I can make it.

Lucky for you, Shangri-LIE is still banned from the U.K.

Is he actually? :O

Question: Is it possible to get into the pit if one has seat tickets? There was no pit tickets left when I was buying mine so only managed to book seats that are very far away from the stage, like the opposite corner of the stadium :/

Very difficult to sneak through I'd think. The front row seats are about ten feet above ground level, so it's not like you can just hop over a barrier or something!

I don't even know if I'm going now, due to a fairly rough few weeks. If I do, I do, if I don't, you all have my permission to gt rekt.

Shit, I thought there might be something wrong but I liked the idea of you just slacking way more so that I could blame you for it. Do what you gotta do, hope things get better.

Well, I'll be at Watkin's Folly around 4pm on Saturday so if anyone wants to come say hi you're more than welcome to. I've never been to Wembley before so since I don't know any better, this place seemed like the obvious choice. The closer to the venue the better, especially when there's drinks involved. Map (https://www.google.co.uk/maps/dir/Watkin's+Folly,+Empire+Way,+Wembley/Wembley+Stadium,+London+HA9+0WS/@51.5581162,-0.2844285,16z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m14!4m13!1m5!1m1!1s0x4876117e03a9a9 9d:0xd4eaf0c63667c8c1!2m2!1d-0.2824!2d51.5615276!1m5!1m1!1s0x48761181d57a876d:0 xa64f9f185de8e097!2m2!1d-0.2795188!2d51.5560208!3e2?dcr=0). If anyone knows of any better pubs or bars in the area, shout!

If you are about and decide to say hi or avoid me, I am petite and have a short red-orange bob.
