Reading a lot since I started working overnights:

Recently reread Dune, am working my way through the much maligned prequels, up to Battle of Corrin.

    Also reading:
    King Rat by China Mievilla
The City of Saints and Madmen
Dead Astronauts (both by Jeff Vandermeer)
The Great And Secret Show by Clive Barker
I've also purchased but havent started Audition and In The Miso Soup by Ryu Murakami

I wish i could be a reader. I enjoy reading, but i have no desire nor patience to sit down and read a book in it's entirety. It's not like i don't have the time, it's just how i use my time.

Only reason I get reading done these days is I work the graveyard shift at a sex store. The internet at 3am is pretty boring, and apparently people dont need rubber fists and vibrators at 4am either.

Anywho, finished up Audition and boy is it a hard read. I've seen the movie a dozen times, and I knew the ending was coming, but damn. I would happily recommend it, but there is one extremely graphic extended scene featuring animal cruelty.

Started up Stranger In A Strange Land. I've read some Heinlein in the past, but not enough.

Finished In the Miso Soup, and I cannot stress it enough: this book is excellent. Reviews paint it as a sort of American Psycho: Japan Nights edition, and its true there's a very graphic section about half way through that would make Bret Easton Ellis squirm, that's not really the point.
