i would still love to see this, but i'd much prefer the hey cruel world tour going uninteruppted first
I thought it was the greatest idea at the time it was announced, even though I always assumed it was more of a joke but now, I don't want him destroying those sacred albums with what he calls singing these days.
Because he likes the music but not the live performances? Because his old shit was AMAZING and his new stuff isn't? What the fuck do you care? Shut the fuck up....
Man, it might piss you off or whatever but lets face facts here; he is actually correct...
Yes.. his live shows are no where near as good as they were from 1994-2003 but I don't bitch about it. From what I can tell Born Villain sounds better then anything he has done in over 10 years and might be one of his best albums. I don't know why people are on a Marilyn Manson site bashing him at 43. With the amount of drugs and shit that man has done we are lucky the guy even makes music. I just watched a movie about the singer from Pentagram. You should just be happy the man is still alive and can write amazing music.
Here's an idea; both of you 'shut up'. This kind of abrasive language and browbeating because you disagree about something is not only tedious, but periodically not tolerated on Provider Module. If we've got members as young as fifteen who can communicate without resorting to profanity and sounding like kids in a schoolyard, I am sure you can manage it just fine. Don't speak to each other like this again.
There's no such thing as 'correct' where subjective opinions are concerned. A performance of The Triptych in 2000-and-Et-Cetera might be different from the years '96-through-'00, but someone would be bound to enjoy it and think it valid, just as I thought the selection of songs played from those albums on the last tour sounded fantastic when I saw them in London.Originally Posted by Kollaps

I fucking love Pentagram.
"Fools are my theme, let satire be my song."
Just wanted to add this: even if Manson's performance of this wasn't stellar, there's 3 other guys in the band who would be playing the material live (minus keyboard parts), and I don't know about you, but that's something I always appreciated or at least was curious to check out (how some of the songs are interpreted on a live setting). It isn't just about the singer, you know.
I personally would've have liked for this to happen, seemed like a fun idea. They could've even had some special guests come out and join them for certain songs that required it... hope they get around to doing this sometime.
I was keen for this when it was first mentioned. Now, minus Ginger and with no keyboard player, I'm not really interested. If I was going to see it, I would want it to be a lineup at least resembling the one that made the music in the first place.
