Default "Exterminating Angel" - The Creatures

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KNMAtdKcOdU

    "Here it comes again
Taste of jagged glass and rusty can
    There are just black holes
Where the stars would be watching
    Just black holes
Where the stars should have been
    Plumes of dirt
    Caress a urine coloured sun
    Swarms of angels
    Come to kill your sons
And there's nothing but black holes
Where the stars should have been
    Nothing but black holes
Where the stars would be watching

    Oh those strange argonauts
    Digging again in your pit
    Cover them in menstrual stream
    Cover them in black gold
    Plunge them into ingots
    Ripping through your menstrual stream
Rising up taste of rusty can
    And jagged glass feeling again
    Here it comes again...

Hordes of locusts blot out your sun
Raining down - rain on everyone
    Poor little rich thing
    Poor little bleeding heart
    Poor little misunderstood
Piss on it - I'm sick of it
    Enough is enough
    I wanna fuck it up
    In spite of it
Just for the hell of it
    I wanna fuck it up
Out of sync - out of phase
Out of sight - out of spite
    Raining down, raining everyone
    Poor little rich thing
    Poor little bleeding heart
    Poor little misunderstood
Piss on it - I'm sick of it

    Here it comes again...
Taste of jagged glass and rusty can
    There are just black holes
Where the stars should have been
    Just black holes
Where the stars would be watching"

Does anybody else think that this might be more of an accurate inspiration for "exterminating angel" in Unkillable Monster than the film by Luis Bu˝uel?

I like one of the orifices on Dali's portrait because it looks similar to the "hive" in Fibonacci.

Anyway, dear old Ray (Macabre) sent me this song back on The Heirophant, and I fucking love it. I used to DJ it as well, because people get annoyed trying to enjoy a Saturday night drink when the word "menstrual" is blaring from a speaker, especially if uttered by a woman...

Thank you for this topic Favenris, I would imagine Manson is definitely familiar with The Creatures (even by default, being a fan of The Cure and Siouxsie And The Banshees). It's not possible to say whether their song's title was influenced by Dali and Bu˝uel before any of the three were considered by Manson, (despite work by the former men being more pertinent to his canon influentially) but I agree that there may have been a level of influence here. Take the colour scheme and Siouxsie's general pose from Anima Animus into consideration, it bears similarity to The High End Of Low:-

Also, the lyric "I'm sick of it" repeated in Exterminating Angel can be related most definitely to "I'm sick of immortality" from I Want To Kill You Like They Do In The Movies. Please listen to this song if you're reading this topic and you haven't already!
