Dave Grohl rejoins QOTSA! Somehow more excited for the new album!

Saw this earlier, so cool! Not sure if this would be for one track, or more or if we will play live, but Foos are on hiatus, and anything with Dave Grohl drumming is great! Songs for the deaf is my favorite album for drumming ever

Josh mentioned in a recent interview (today actually, I think) that Joey left the band and Dave is on drums now.

Their Twitter also mentioned that the album will be out before they play Download Fest (June 2013).

Yeah, I just read, it was a radio one interview. It makes sense with Foo Fighters hiatus. I would love to see QOTSA with Dave playing. Is there any word why Joey left?

I would love to see QOTSA period. If they tour anywhere near me, I'll be there in a heartbeat. They might be number one on the band I most want to see live. I think Foo Fighters is one of the most overrated and bland pop-rock groups around, and I think Dave Grohl has had a lot of far more praise-worthy side projects, so this is great news.

No idea why Joey left. He seemed pretty cool.

I'm not a Foo fan, but Dave is a good song writer and what he's done with his band is great. It'll be great to save them with Dave on drums, but Joey was awesome the couple times I've seen them. Fucking great band live, glad the new album will be out before the shows. Josh and Daves stuff on Crooked Vultures is solid too.

Q: Aside from destroy angel's new EP, what's next for you?

Trent: A number of things. Tweaking some things for the HTDA full LP (coming in Spring), helping Josh out on a new QOTSA track, working with Roy, starting rehearsals for two bands.
