This is a large scale painting I am working on at the moment. The work is about the destruction of beauty and it's design is based upon Arabic geometric patterns. I have combined these patterns with my own painting style that focuses on translucency and layering. The following photographs show my studio space and the first three layers of outline and initial glazes of paint.

These are really good. The geometric shapes in watercolor juxtapose well.

I really like it. What medium are you using, Acrylics?
One of my next things to paint is of geometrical shaopes, too.
Looking forward to see the finished piece! :)

Thank you, Sans and [divine_infect]. I have been working in acrylics, however, I have considered doing the final coat with an oil based glaze.
It is it finished now. I plan to do two smaller works of the same height and a third of the width on either side in gold to frame it.
I apologise for the poor photo quality, I will put some better quality photographs in my own art thread once the artwork is properly installed.

@Adam - mhmm, this looks promising! Will you keep the lines as they are, or will there be some more sketching before/after coloring?

@Dismorphia - Oh I love how it came out! Blue is one of my favourite color [kinda] and all those shades are just so sweet for the eyes! It's a pretty way to show distruction of beauty. I hope you'll have the time to show of the other works in progress when you're on them. :)

And me... I'm doodling this... there's someone missing though. But I am too lazy to make another pic, my cam is an ass [it's the card actually, arrgh]

I like seeing works in progress myself, so I think this thread is great! n_n When I did my Pee Wee series, idk why I just started taking pictures of my progress, and it's become a habit, I like sharing them myself. I post a lot more on my facebook but I do have quite a few wip shots in my own art thread ^__^

but I like seeing the process, it's inspiring! Lots of really cool stuff going on here :D

Finally getting around to finishing my site. I'm kind of learning through trial and error. Almost done though. Going to throw up the rest of the images soon. Here it is so far.
EDIT: back under wraps for now.
