Default Garbage - Not Your Kind Of People

Anyone else getting just as worked up for this as Born Villain? Really wasn't expecting much from these guys at this point, but these clips are turning me over. It sounds like everything beautifulgarbage should have been: loud, Version 2.0-type electronic rock with this sort of 60's girl group kind of sweetness. Some of the clips on that video (particularly the one that starts 5:05) sound like they can easily match Queer. Can't wait for this.

    Coming out May 14

    Tracklist and artwork:
    1. Automatic Systematic Habit
    2. Big Bright World
    3. Blood For Poppies
    4. Control
    5. Not Your Kind Of People
    6. Felt
    7. I Hate Love
    8. Sugar
    9. Battle In Me
    10. Man On A Wire
    11. Beloved Freak

    Deluxe edition bonus tracks:
    12. The One
    13. What Girls Are Made Of
    14. Bright Tonight
    15. Show Me

I Hate Love is only a preview.. :/ Not the full song. All I can say to Shirley is, "WHERE THE FUCK HAVE YOU BEEN ALL MY LIFE?!?"

I thought they're in the trash can already. Pun intended. Sorry Shirley. I'm a Garbage fan myself.. :p I really find it coincidental that May is the month BOTH Mansons release their stuff. Go figure. FINALLY, THE MANSONS HAVE COME BACK TO RELEASE NEW STUFF ON MAY!!!

Yes I'm also looking forward to this. Wouldn't call myself a huge fan but I do like their albums and I'm really glad they went back to making more music.

You can download the lead single "Blood For Poppies" for free at www.garbage.com

I was just meh at first, but's it's growing on me big time. I still think it sounds a bit too preppy in places, but it's catchy as fuck. Certainly better than "Why Do You Love Me" and "Androgyny" anyway. Best lead single since "Push It", you might say.

It sounded like a radio friendly rock song you hear everyday .. Shirley's voice sounded soo different to her Version 2.0 and debut era.

^ I guess it's sort of understandable. I mean, if they were still with Geffen, I'd be pretty pissed about it. But the fact that they're doing this completely independently, on their own label, where they could all be made bankrupt if this thing bombs: the song makes perfect sense. They need the lead single to impact to a certain extent.

The real shit's coming on the LP. Bring this shit on.
