Dean Karr was never contracted to do the album cover for Born Villain so nothing was cancelled. Manson wasn't the only person involved in the decision making process, but obviously they felt the one they went with was more conceptually suited to the album. That takes nothing away from Karr's photographic genius.

Another factor which has yet to be mentioned: the one they went with had a pussy where Manson puts his willy.

You're really underestimating Manson and overestimating pussy.

He declined to use Dean Carr's professional photos for the sake of his lucky bitch's mediocre photo shoots.

Well according to Steve Coy they did do a photoshoot but it just wasn't used.

I'm sure we have a thread already discussing this, will have a look + merge.

Steve Coy wasn't involved in any of the decision making process. Dean Karr may have submitted photos for consideration, but there was no contract with him in regards to the album cover. The decision was made by committee.

Yes, it's been discussed here, ad nauseam.

"Made by committee?" Where did you hear that? And if so, perhaps the better question is why would they go about that? Wasn't that the main point in deciding to "go indie"? not having to deal with external involvement?

^"by committee" means more than one person was involved in the process...meaning the decision on the album cover wasn't made solely by Manson. It doesn't mean there was external involvement.
