Alright, I'm the first to bash Manson for his performances, etc - but this was actually great. It gave me a new perspective on his lyrics, which I haven't held in high very high esteem since Holywood.

I was reluctant to watch the video because I thought it would be pretentious but it definitely wasn't, it was very modest. I hope that Marilyn Manson's next album is something like Death in June's Alarm Agents. Manson can't sing anymore but he still retains a very unique timbre to his voice.

Actually, I'm further going to say that this is the best thing I have seen from him post GAOG era...

I really enjoyed this. It gave me a whole new perspective on the lyrics when they were spoken by him. The video was really cool too.

I'm afraid whether it's what you're into or not, of all the criticisms that could be levelled at Marilyn Manson, this is definitely one of the most outdated.
This is by far the greatest post I have seen on this entire forum. I LOL'd so hard!!

I also really enjoyed this video. Even if visually it was just Manson posing and flaunting his face, (which, for an internet video was very well done; I am aware that this is not an official music video or a short film) it was executed with finesce. (Now I sound pretentious!!) I think that more than anything, this video exhibits a new found confidance in Manson which was lacking the last Era. We've also gotten quite a bit more already than anything that particular Era had to offer (aside from perhaps the Shock Hound interview with each track). It makes me a lot more excited for the upcoming album, and I understand the lyrics a lot better now! I formed a few theories as to how this album relates to Macbeth and Antichrist Superstar/the past a lot more from having the lyrics read as poetry last night. So yes, +1 for Manson with this video.

I believe it was Shock Hound 09.
