So far the songs that I like the most are "Slo-Mo-Tion", "The Flowers Of Evil" and "Breaking The Same Old Ground". The first one has some really dreamy yet sexy feeling that reminds me a bit of such songs as "Spade". "The Flowers Of Evil" has some really strong 80's feeling but at the same time it's very psychedelic. I love that mix! "Breaking The Same Old Ground" is just beautiful and very emotional, I haven't heard it yesterday, but it hit me today while listening to the song on the bus. It's powerfull and powerless at the same time if it makes any sense.

    Hey, Cruel World

I've only listened to the album a couple of times though, but those are the ones I played the most since we got the Japan release.

Overneath The Path of Misery. I just feel it is as anthemic as Antichrist Superstar (the title track), and shows off MM's lyrical brilliance in its whole glory.

Lay Down Your Goddamn Arms. Because it's breathing n' living rock n' roll, feels to me like an edgier Mechanical Animals song. And even though you could complain about the vocals in a couple of songs in B.V. The vocals in this song are PERFECT, Mechanical Animals level perfect.

Born Villain. This song... just takes the MM sound to another level, a new territory for the band.

The Gardener. Who couldn't love the GROOVE in this song? This song is like Grinderman meeting Joy Division.

The first MM record I have liked the music better than the lyrics/vocals. Not to say I don't like the lyrics or the vocals... There are just sometimes I can't feel it, where it becomes very subjective-poetic or obvious... (or most importantly the garden or the gardener... :P) And I'm a bit sceptical to the dying-wolf-howling. But I love the album, 98% sure this will be my favorite album of 2012.
