I have to say.. I got the album yesturday in the mail.. Born Villian the song might be my favorite Manson song of all time. Followed by Overneath The Path Of Misery, The Gardnener, Children Of Cain(when he starts to song "Don't assume...." by the end is epic) and The Flowers Of Evil.

This album could end up being in my top 1-2 Manson albums of all time. It's that good. I might even like it better then Mechanical Animals already.

A great album overall, but I find its middle section to be the strongest :
Slo-Mo-Tion and its perfect MA feel, thx to the sort of flanger effect used on the bass.
The Gardener, original and well-executed, great chorus la MA.
The Flowers of Evil, that would fit nicely on HW (Oh, those layers of screams at the end!). Great bass work again. I can't help but picture him fleeing an army of redneck zombies on that one, don't ask why...
Children of Cain, which to me sounds like the bastard child of Last day on Earth raped by one of the darkest song on HW.

I really love the whole album*, but my favorites are:

    "Hey, Cruel World..."
    "Overneath the Path of Misery"
    "The Gardener"
    "Disengaged"
    "Breaking the Same Old Ground"

*The only exception to me loving the whole album is the chorus for "The Flowers of Evil." I guess I'm alone here, but that chorus sounds so incredibly corny to me.

nice.. is a highlight for most people in that song lol But Born Villain the song is maybe maybe favorite Manson song of all time. I know a lot of people would not agree with me there as well.

I wonder how many people are gonna change their minds about "Overneath The Path Of Misery" once they hear the album version? The chorus with headphones is fucking awesome. The song is way better now then it was when we first heard it with missing guitar parts.

    Slo-Mo-Tion
    The Gardener
    Overneath the Path of Misery
    Hey, Cruel World...
    Born Villain
    The Flowers of Evil

I really love the bass on this album.

Murderers would be one of my favorites if it had better drums. They're really lacking a punch they need. Compare them to the drums on Burning Flag and they're rather hollow.

Closest thing I come to disliking on the album is Breaking the Same Old Ground and Disengaged. On Disengaged it's mainly the chorus that bothers me as I like the rest of the song.

Yeah, I really have no idea why everyone likes the chorus, but everyone has their own tastes.

I only heard You're So Vain once yesturday after I got the album and (never heard previews) because of a massive migraine but today I realized how much I love the cover. It is my favorite cover song in a very long time.

I love this album.. it is awesome.
