It should have a better rating then it does... it needs more 4 and 5 stars..

Good call, I always forget to do these kind of things.

I don't know how anyone can give this album a 1 star. The fact that Hey, Cruel World, Overneath, Murderers, Flowers Of Evil, Born Villain Slo-Mo-Tion and Lay Down Your Arms are on this record makes me believe most of these bad reviews are from people not actually listening to the record. Just trolls that don't want to see Manson succeed for some reason. I could see why peopple would dislike the past few albums(I still liked them) but this album is amazing and people should give it a fucking chance. I know it does take a few listens on a few tracks but they are all amazing.
I'm confused. Aren't Amazon reviews meant to be for the actual product itself (e.g. the CD was broken or the case was scratched) and not about the actual content? It's like comments on the Pirate Bay about how shitty a movie is. I don't care what you think about the movie, I just want to know if the torrent fucking works!
Close my eyes just to look at you.
It has 4 stars and I think that's fitting enough. While a more stripped down rocker, it's still lacking the atmosphere that the earlier albums had. It's just not organic enough really. Great album, but THEOL seemed more artsy than this one. It's another good for what it is album, but I don't think it's as mind-bendingly brilliant as some of us seem to want it to be.
I disagree about HEOL.. that album has no flow and the subject matter is all over the place. SOme very good songs but more of like a b sides mix tape. The songs are not well put together. Born Villain has repetative lyrics but the ends of the songs have work on them. Nor just the same chorus from the start pasted in the end like the HEOL did on the entire album. If the HEOL had Murderers on it there would be no extra vocals at the end and no solo. There is just so many small details they worked on for this album that has made BV a far superior album. Plus the reason why HEOL was not liked by fans is because male heavy music fans do not want to hear songs like Unkillable Monster, Wow, Devour, Running To The End Of The World or Into The Fire. The good thing about BV it has not questionable lyrics like HEOL had and GAOG had. I actually like EMDM and the lyrics. I have come around to GAOG and the lyrics and they are actually very smart and well thought out with tons of refrences. I do like HEOL but BV is in another league.
I put mine up, it's under my initials DG.
