I never understood the whole Bowie thing.

Maybe he means the supposed cliche of liking Bowie because of Manson? I for one have noticed most Manson fans I know actually liked Bowie first. ^.^

To be fair, I'm not even really a Bowie fan. I'm a Jareth fan.

But I also reeeeally love the early film stuff he did with Warhol.

HE'S GOD! HE FUCKING REJECTED A KNIGHTHOOD! It's like, like, like, when the fucking quenn tells you you're cool and wants to make it official and you say, Fuck no queenie, I'm David fucking Bowie, and you're not cool enough to give me a knighthood!

Don't you mean that they SAY they liked Bowie first?

Are these just the US releases? Because I have a UK VHS and DVD with different covers to them. The VHS has the photo of the maze and is actually landscape, which is pretty odd since most VHS covers are portrait.
And the UK collectors edition is the same design as the US Collectors Edition, except instead of being black it's cream colored and also doesn't contain really anything extra to make it a collectors edition. Unlike that US Collectors Edition, I got one once when I was in the US, cost me something like $40 but it had cool extras and I think it might have more DVD content.

If you were born in the 80's or earlier, chances are you heard David Bowie before MM and loved it even though it might have been when you were a small child and have no memory of it. "Just the beer light to guide us". *Pump your fist if you were raised by people who had drinking problems! Especially ones who used to make you and your other childhood friends dance to songs like "Fame" for their entertainment. That's one reason I can't really listen to "I don't Like the Drugs (But the Drugs Like Me)". They sound a lot a like. Has anyone else noticed that? lol Anyway......

I was a Bowie fan before I'd even heard of Marilyn Manson.
