I'm with Kollaps and Dv5. Some of these people, I read their Twitter and Instagram ramblings and it's embarrassing. It's as if they've chosen to completely ignore Manson's message. Or are so insecure that they feel the need to be recognized as a "true" fan or something. I can't even put words to it. See me on the street and you probably wouldn't peg me for a fan - yet I have an odd feeling that I'd get along with the band in real life far better than those who go out of their way to make sure it's obvious. I am myself, and I refuse to apologize for her. That's kind of the message I took away 15 years ago, and I don't think it changed. And if your "name" has Manson in it, my opinion of you just dropped. Especially when I see you're my age (or older).

Yeah, I'm judgemental. I admit it.

I think how much she brings back in tourism more than outweighs that which helps upkeep the monarchy and our heritage.

... if she (or "they", whatever) actually bring any extra money in tourism or whatnot. How many tourists actually meet the queen? Or do stupid Americans spend over £600 just to stand at the gates of Buckingham Palace and take photographs at the front gate? If you abolish the Queen's position, would that "tourism" money vanish overnight? She doesn't exactly whore herself out, bringing in extra tourists. It would be interesting to see what would happen if we abolish the position for a period of time (a year or so), just to see if any of that tourist money vanishes. The woman and her entire family (maybe Diana being the exception) has done nothing for nobody, as far as I can see. Meanwhile, her 3rd cousin removed gets over half a million pounds in expenses simply for living on a castle in Bagshot Park that they legally have no genuine claim to. When you factor in all the random distant family members who make major £££ from the taxpayer, you'd have to second guess any benefit they make to the UK economy.

I wound up on a Twitter account last night referring to "mommy and daddy" (Twiggy and Manson). It was sort of like a really nasty car wreck. Your brain is telling you to look away, that furry thing on the pavement is a scalp... but you Just. Can't. Stop.

It's kind of entertaining... when I studied film, my focus was horror films and I spent many a night with a good mindfuck in the VCR. Brings back memories of those days.
