I'm not a huge (or even moderate) sports fan, but I usually look forward to the Olympics because it's something outside the usual rugby and cricket we get stuck with here in Australia, and not so much because of the sport but the whole world coming together in healthy competition without guns (at least, at each other) kind of thing. Unfortunately, as already stated, I am in Australia, so if Australia isn't competing with a reasonable chance of winning a medal, it doesn't get shown on tv here. Result: nearly a week in, all we've seen is swimming, rowing, equestrian and beach volleyball. None of the stuff I'm actually interested in seeing.
My avatar looks like a mix of NIN, My Chemical Romance, and Chris Vrenna
I like watching the horse jumping and I always seem to miss that. In general I prefer the winter games, though did like the opening
I was never really interested in the Olympics until I saw Hazekiah's post.
Just caught this video of this guy's arm breaking or something in the olympics - http://www.buzzfeed.com/jpmoore/hear...-injury-of-the
What makes me laugh is when the guys all rush over, I thought they were running to help him but no! they roll out an olympics sign and hold it up so no one can see the guy in pain behind it lol.
I know not everyone is a fan of Cracked, but this article is pretty good:
5 Things They Don't Want You to Know About the Olympics
I kinda like it, but the only sport I care and like is football - I LOVE it, actually, haha - nothing more than that. Volleyball is nice, but I rarely watch.
