I don't think FUCK is offense. If used as a verb it actually is the appropriate term. Neither is shit if used in the proper context.

I wasn't aware that whore and nigger were termed as swear words. Nigger is probably different in the states than it is here, but I was still under the impression it was just seen as a racial slur rather than an actual swear word.

But for the topic on hand, I don't really regard swear words to hold any particular power. They're just words the same as anything else. Of course, like all words, there are appropriate times to use or save them. But I don't erase a word from my vocabulary just because it's a swear word, I'll use them whenever appropriate.

I use the word 'nigger' actually 'nigga' as if I were African American. Example, when I saw on one of my news feeds that Michael Phelps won a gold metal I turned to my girlfriend, pointed at my Blackberry and said "You know Michael Phelps? That nigga just won his 22nd gold metal!" etc.... but I am very careful not to use it out in public since the area I live in is predominantly black.

I generally enjoy any kind of subtle profanity here and there, long as it's used appropriately (you know, not like overkilling your sentences with it.)
