    Default Einstuerzende Neubauten

I'm making this thread as way of showing this band to the people, who have interest in industrial-electronic-avantgard music. So they can discover the complete n' utter genius present in this band's songs. If there any other Neubauten fans around here, you can use this thread to discuss all things Neubauten, together with any news that there maybe around the corner.

E.N. has been around since the early 80s, together with its frontman Blixa Bargeld ( to any Nick Cave fans, he probably must be familiar to you, he was Cave's guitarist for 20 years), they've challenged what you can actually do with any sound, and any type of instruments. And with instruments I mean, objects ranging from drills, many sorts of metal, sounds of burning cigarrettes, and so forth.

From Walter Bejamin's statement " The Destructive Character" ( Destruction knows only one motive: MAKE ROOM) to taking cues from Pier Schaffer's "Musique Concrete", E.N. has molded music that redifines both creativity and what can be considered as "music".

To those who dig Industrial Rock Madness:

    Feurio!

To Those who enjoy seductive sexy music:

To Those who are plainly avantgardistic:

And of course... a HELL of a live band:

Check it out, and discuss your thoughts about this innovative musical group

Einsturzende Neubauten are probably my favorite band, but you showed a lot of their later stuff. In my opinion Kollaps and Halber Mensch are their most mind blowing. Fuenf Auf Der Nach Oben Offenen Rich and Ende Neu are also incredible.

    And guess what:

I have tickets to see them next February and I am fucking dying with anticipation (Check my thread 'All Tomorrow's Parties')

I envy you man, I've never seen them!

I'm not that much of a fan of "Kollaps", I dig the title song, tanz debil, negativ nein, n' that album's version of "Sehnsucht". ( I didn't like the Halber's Mensch version, but I do love that album)

Also one of my favorite old neubauten albums is Zeichnungen Des Patienten O.T. I think it is more "harnassed" chaos, than what Kollaps was.

And i've always seen the album "Tabula Rasa" like a sort of transition period between the destructive 80s neubauten to how the band is now.

    A couple more neubauten videos:

    - Interim Lovers:

    - Halber Mensch:

    - Kollaps:

Tabula Rasa is awesome, Headcleaner is amazing. Yeah, in Australia, it's crazy because my wife is from Switzerland so we've traveled to Germany many times and I've always hoped to be able to catch Neubauten but they were never playing - now they are playing IN MY CITY. Crazy!

This song hasn't left my head the whole day:

    Nagorny Karabach:

It's a song from Neubauten's album "Alles Weider Offen"

Also I wanted to show this minimalist music video for the Neubauten song "The Garden" ( Jodorowsky influence?, I don't know, to some of you out there, it may remind you a little bit of the intro of the Born Villain trailer.)

The tension always builds when nothing is happening.
