That's also not true. Actually, that is very untrue. I'll resume discussion once the thread regains its course.

Rock stars and celebrities tend to have quite a bit of time to speak their mind. It's more than enough to base a judgment of their intelligence on. If it's invalid to say Dave Mustaine is an idiot based on all of his shitfuck retarded comments, then I guess it's also invalid to say that Marilyn Manson is intelligent based on all the evidence that points to that being true.
For every person who thinks Marilyn Manson is intelligent there is another person who thinks he is an idiot. You might disagree with their claim, and I would disagree with that claim because you and I know differently. But either way, the fact still remains. Once again it comes down to knowing or not knowing someone, maybe you don't have to have a dinner with someone to gauge their intellect but without truly knowing someone I don't think you can form a worthy opinion unless they are blatantly trying to be stupid.

Respect begets Respect, nobody is going to be sincere about understanding and respecting your point of view if you're a dick-face. It's one thing to engage and challenge someones opinion that you disagree with, with a well thought out logical argument. It's entirely something else to automatically devalue what a person says by labeling them a conspiracy theorist and sit there and call them an idiot, paranoid, nut-job, etc.

99 times out of 100 the latter is what usually happens, so it isn't much of a wonder that they're insincere when saying they respect and understand someone elses opinion when that someone else was being a disrespectful asshole in the first place.

That's like poking an animal repeatedly with a stick and then wondering why it chewed your fucking face off.

Exactly, and I don't think that's a concept Asset Reign fully understands. He is good at adding dissent to conversations, and loves to challenge, but at the same time gets annoyed when someone counters him. He isn't the only one like that. But, at the same time, the important thing is to still engage people like that with respect when debating a topic and only hope that it rubs off sometime down the line.

I don't recall calling either one of you names in this thread or even resorting to ridiculing your point of view; I have nothing to lose or gain in this conversation, and I wasn't annoyed about any of it . . . until now . . .I'm sure as hell not the one getting personal because I don't agree with you.

The dick-face comment was a blanket statement, not a personal attack towards you.

Here's why I think that the James Holmes case has garnered so much attention and so much skepticism. Conspiracy theories aside, I think people genuinely have detected some major flaws in what is being reported. People also have a morbid fantasy about attaching themselves to a tragedy even if they are just commenting on it. Now, it's not about believing what a person is capable of, it's about looking at what happened and based on the evidence asking was it really possible? There are a lot of people doing that. I'll admit when this first broke I was having fun with MKUltra theories/Illuminati shit/disinformation etc just because it was so easy to make that argument and people truly believe that it went down that way. They're the ones that make anyone looking at this event with an once of skepticism look like retarderdated peapels.

If you want to have something to say about a crime such as this, then you really have to be informed and dig into it, otherwise you cannot make a judgement on it at all. It's the same as with a trial, only we are reading pdf files, watching Youtube videos, and searching for what aspect of it we want to read about. We're not assigned to the case so we have the leisure of picking whatever information we want to. I know I wouldn't want to be on trial if everyone on my jury had the logic "well you did it, even though no one but the cops identified you in your car drugged up wearing riot gear, you still did it." - There are so many things to be taken into consideration. Not conspiracy theories but hard evidence. Things that make sense. This whole situation doesn't make any sense. Until it does people will seek the truth.

I realize that none of us were on the Scooby Doo CSI team, but some of you would really suck at being detectives. lol :)
