Also I think you're giving Manson (the person) a bit too much credit when you say he's just trolling the art world. There is that, but I think he also wants to be taken seriously as a musician again yet is an alcoholic unwilling to take the steps to address that problem and it's affected his career.

I'm not sure I understand. Are you saying a musician can't also be a successful artist, or vice versa? That you have to be one or the other?

As far as the "alcoholics" can't be successful rock musicians, you can't be serious. When he was "taken seriously" as a musician, he would have been classified as an addict by every health professional out there.
