All good replies. I am more of a forgiver than anything but if someone does something to pointlessly hurt me or betray me, then I torture them forever and ever. I usually give people at least a couple chances, depending on the circumstances on what was said or done. I'm more forgiving when it comes to things other people say or do to me, but if someone hurts or insults someone in my family/close friend/partner then I don't hesitate to go into full blown excessive assault and battery mode.

Forgive, but never forget. Forgiveness is also earned, not simply handed out as a get out of jail free card.

Revenge is always wrong. It just expands the problem, never solves it. Forgiveness ftw.

The basis for the criminal just system is revenge. Punishment is just a euphemism that makes us feel justified in our desire to see a murderer/rapist/pedophile/terrorist swing from the highest tree branch.
