Default What do you use to record your voice?

Hey guys, thought about doing some covers for fun. I noticed a lot of people on here have really good quality in their voices, so can you tell me what you use please? Thanks for the help,.

I use Audacity. It really depends on your microphone.

There's lots of software that will record the same, it's really going to come down to having a decent mic and recording at a decent volume. You can get really in depth in gear, but even a good USB mic will get you something decent.

What microphone do ya'll recommend? I know it'd have to be at least 100 to be decent right?

Absolutely. I have a Sony microphone and it works great for me, but then again I don't make high quality recordings.

Check out the Blue USB mics, usually prices between 100-150, decent mics made by a company that actually focuses on recording gear.

I disagree with USB mics, I think they are horrible, cheap and nasty. I'd just stick to using an SM58 if you are going for a low budget mic...

For demos, a c1000 through a usb pre amp to the computer. Works great!
