I enjoy reading a lot. Truthfully, it makes you a better and smarter person. :)

It's true. I have a brother who was a junkie on his death bed, but he decided to read some fishing and hunting magazines in the hospital and he immediately kicked his habit and is now a CEO of a Fortune 500 company.

Close my eyes just to look at you.

Reading is easy and it's fucking fun. It's basically like jacking off except you can do it in public.

I love to read. I have done since I was three. My mother in one of the few good things she did, was encourage me to read. So by the time I hit school, I was already able to read the entry level books others were starting out on.

I didn't go anywhere without a book. To the point where I had the nickname "bookworm" at school. I also read fast, not as fast as I did when I was younger, but I can go through a good sized book in a few days if I have the time. Back in my teenage years I was going through a book every two days.

The only time I didn't like reading was when I studied English Literature. For me it seemed as if the books were being ripped apart, and the tutors would go to a chapter, read it, and then say "right you won't need to know about this bit so we will skip here and move to another chapter". How can one know a book properly if you don't read it all?

So in my early twenties I didn't read much. But nowadays I still read each day,for at least half an hour and I love it. I read more non-fiction than fiction, but still enjoy a good horror or adventure book. At home we have about 1500 books between us, to the point where we actually have no more room in the house. Probably a good reason to buy a kindle, which I have to say has been a great addition to my house. For example I have been reading up on Hillsborough at the moment and this has been great adding to the collection, as well as those impulse buys, such as last night, I was watching a film based on a true story and wanted to know more about the story it was based on. Hey presto, into Amazon I go, find a couple of books and download them straight away.

Saying that I still buy books. Nothing quite beats the feel of a book in your hands.

Reading is fantastic, whether it be for knowledge or pleasure or both.

Yes, I read and really enjoy reading. I love getting invested in a new book. I love finishing a good book and spending the next few days thinking about the ending, the journey to the end, and feeling a little sad that I can't read it for the first time all over again. I don't read as often as I used to but when I do I find it a great way to relax and escape the world without having any outside anxiety.

It's amazing that some of you could turn a discussion about whether or not you read into an argument. Grow the fuck up. Both sides sound like pretentious morons.
