Apparently he did an interview a couple years ago
Doesn't come off as insane
^ Unfortunately a lot can happen in a couple years. Insanity can creep up on you with everyone noticing but you.
This sounds perfectly sane and reasonable:
SHAUNA O'DONNELL: DID YOU WANT TO TALK ABOUT WHY YOU LEFT?
Pogo: You see, with the court thing, I'm not sure what we can talk about because there is still a debate whether I left or I was fired because technically I was a partner. He tried to say I was an employee and he tried to fire me. You can't do that with a partner, so that's what these three years of lawsuits that have been going on about.
SHAUNA O'DONNELL: WELL THERE ARE STORIES OUT THERE AND I THINK PEOPLE HAVE FORMED THEIR OWN OPINIONS.
Pogo: They have the right to do that. I'm not going to change because of this and I'm not going to disparage Manson. I wish him the best, but I think he got too far away from the music to be honest. He wanted to do more acting, painting and all that other stuff. I think he kind of forgot, like Lunchbox, I want to be a rock star. You can't serve two masters. Every musician wants to be an actor anyways and every actor wants to be a musician. It's the classic Hollywood double-take. Yeah, it's just one of those things. I can't get inside his brain, but I think he got a little too surrounded by yes-men and people who were trying to present him in a Hollywood way and trying to get him away from the music. In a weird way, because we came from Florida, we were outside this whole entertainment scene where everybody just like sucks your ass.
I talk to him now and then on facebook, he's very spirited (can be pretty confrontational, doesn't hold back) and maybe a bit eccentric - but from what I can tell, he's not mad.
He's currently fielding questions on his Twitter. In spite of the fact he insists he wants nothing to do with MM (the band or the man) his Twitter icon is a photo of Manson, his Twitter name has "Pogo" in it, and he talks about MM constantly. :(
I met Ginger, John 5 and Pogo back in 2001 after a show in Vancouver. I liked him when I met him. John 5 was a really cool guy. Talked to him a long time and he talked a lot about the New Years Eve show they did when they played Surrender live. Ginger seemed like a really nice shy person. Pogo seemed a bit messed up though when I met him. I would still love to see him back in the band along with John 5 and Ginger. I really like Fred as well. So maybe a Manson band with a 6 piece lineup. I also like Jason as a drummer. Let's do a 7 piece band. Jason can play the cow bell or something.
Every original member of the band has now sued the singer for not paying them the money they earned while in the band. I'm guessing Pogo was telling the truth that Manson was withholding payments to him, it's believable since that's happened numerous times in the band before. I just don't think Pogo handled the whole affair well, and it's a shame that he left the band like that but since he's a member of the original line up, I'm not surprised at all by what he claimed happened.
He wen cray cray
