Slo-Mo-Tion Remix EP Announced
Marilyn Manson is gearing up to release the Slo-Mo-Tion Remix EP. “Slo-Mo-Tion” is the second single from Manson’s latest album Born Villain available via Dine Alone Records. The EP features six tracks, and will be available for purchase on November 5, 2012.
Two of the feature mixes come from hardcore electro artist PROXY who is known for producing “massive, dirty techno and chunky electro”. The Russian born trailblazer has become a phenom in his own right and has done remixes for such legendary artists in the field such as Moby, The Prodigy, Peaches, Digitalism, and Boys Noize.
Sandwell District, which has earned the distinction of being “The underground Techno label of the moment…”, brings its own unique take on Manson’s track featuring a fun and trippy, ‘junglesque’ Dub remix.
Also included is a remix from French innovators Dirtyphonics, recognized for their energetic blend of genres crossing over Electro, Drum ‘n’ Bass, Dub Step and Hip Hop.
Guessing the other two tracks will be the album cut, and maybe the instrumental? Not really a fan of club remixes, but thanks for the news.
The tracklist is:
01 Slo-Mo-Tion (Proxy Remix)
02 Slo-Mo-Tion (Sandwell District Remix)
03 Slo-Mo-Tion (Dirtyphonics Remix)
04 Slo-Mo-Tion (Proxy Dub Remix)
05 Slo-Mo-Tion (Sandwell District Dub Remix)
06 Slo-Mo-Tion (Album Version)
BOO!!! We should get at least one cover a la the Lunchbox EP or an obscure instrumental a la Get Your Gunn EP.
I know it isn't out yet, but very little extra work could have been done to make this EP better. There is no way they couldn't have thrown on a B-Side or even a choice live track to sweeten the pot.
What the fuck? Just put in the cut tracks and the remixes. Fuck fuck fuckity fuck. :(
thanks for the news!
I guess this will just be a digital release?
That remix is the worst so far.
The Sandwell District Remixes were already released this Monday exclusively through beatport - http://www.beatport.com/release/slo-...remixes/982746
Didn't see that pop up in any news, if Dine Alone Records can post about it why doesn't Cooking Vinyl?
I cannot stress how bad these remixes are.
