Not to be "That Guy," but...

    ANTICHRIST SUPERSTAR

I mean, c'mon...that ONE album laid out the entire foundation of the unmatched MASTERPIECE which eventually became known as The Triptych and seriously took things to a WHOLE new level which hasn't let up since.

    No competition.

And this is coming from someone who loves every single album to the bottomless depths of his soulless self -- GOD-FUCKING-DAMNIT every single album is fucking GENIUS -- but holy-fucking-fuck Antichrist Superstar is just THE be-all/end-all of ALL that Marilyn Manson is. And that's by design.

Which isn't a BAD thing, if that's what it sounds like to you neophytes.

No, that's a fucking COMPLIMENT of the HIGHEST fucking order.

    \m/ -_- \m/

2 - 4 always move around based on my mood, and I only put Portrait so low because I've only heard three-ish songs so far.

It doesn't mean I don't love GAOG. It's just too difficult to choose...

It might sound fake, but they really are all pretty much equal to me. Manson is one of those bands that makes it incredibly difficult to choose. Some bands only have like 1 really great hit album. It's their claim to fame. But there are some who continually put out great material. Manson is one of them. I'm more likely to put them in categories based on what they mean to me.

    HW/MA/ACSS

I listen to these when I feel like listening to great political/religious pieces that inspire and challenge herd mentality

    EMDM/THEOL

These are very nostalgic or sentimental for me. They helped me, especially EMDM, in some hard places in my life. I love them and will be forever grateful of their existence.

    GAOG
This is when I am in the mood for entertaining my fascination with nazism, 1920 and 30s, Dada, and art from that time frame.

    POAAF
this is nostalgic in a way that I like to imagine the band back in those early days. It's not nostalgic in the way EMDM is. It's more of a fantasy nostalgia and fun to listen to.

I'm not sure where Born Villain stands yet for me. It's still new and therefore I generally play it the most.

I love them all, but right now it's pretty much like this

    1. Holy Wood, Mechanical Animals, Antichrist, Eat Me Drink Me, High End Of Low are all equal for #1 and my favorite.
    2. Golden Age, Portrait, and Born Villain all come after.
