Default Marilyn Manson Your Various Thoughts

I think it's perhaps about time we had this thread. =P (I hope it didn't exist before though, because that would be a little bit embarrassing.)

Anyway, I thought I'd start it off with the following. I just love how I can relate to Lunchbox in spite of how horrific bullying is. It really is one of those Marilyn Manson songs that helps me cope when my feelings have gotten hurt, even when it's not somebody literally sticking his or her finger in my chest while claiming to be the best. Portrait of an American Family also came out when I was 8, and I sometimes think about how and who I was when an album comes out in my lifetime, and it matches up my childhood in elementary school and junior high school so well.

I'm just glad I actually didn't off myself or anything like that, and Lunchbox is like a pat on the back for me. ^_^ (And as somebody that feels like an outsider from time to time, it's no wonder why Lunchbox still remains to be one of my most favorite Marilyn Manson songs ever.)

i'm glad i got to experience
    marilyn in my lifetime

    he has inspired
    and made me feel
    better about myself
    truly a wonderful
    person

    he has
    pissed off my damn mother
    pissed off kids at school
    pissed off the religious
    and has rocked the world

what more could a fan ask for?

he also helped make me into one dark motherfucker!
or perhaps he helped bring the darkness out
i used to be so sweet and innocent before i discovered
    this man

When the Provider Module account on Facebook mentioned the quote of Marilyn Manson saying that he was the first Eminem, it immediately got me to remember the No Class/Styrofoam Raps. =P

I've noticed that when it comes to the big 5 of nu metal and rap rock and Marilyn Manson fans, Korn, Deftones, and Slipknot seem to be accepted and appreciated, but not so much with Limp Bizkit and Linkin Park.

I realized that about myself when I first started listening to him and I was shocked. It's like he helped bring out this "goth" or darker side of me that I never knew was there... it was strange. It actually put me in a better mood and I just felt generally happier. He is probably one of the last artists I ever thought I would be into!

If it wasn't intentional, I thought it was quite the coincidence for Antichrist Superstar to be the red, Mechanical Animals to be the white, and Portrait of an American Family to be the blue as far as the art on all 3 CDs.
