    Upgrade (2018)

This movie kicks ASS. A whole lot of fun to watch. Awesome effects, great plot, great ending, and awesome action scenes. Idk how they did the effects with the cameras but they were amazing. Anywho, watch it.

French, LGBTQIA coming of age film. Beautifully filmed, elegant rebellion. It doesn't pull its punches around class and sexuality, nor the awkwardness of youth. Both the girls are gorgeous and the sex scenes are. ... well most will find them appealing, but it is a little annoying they are filmed as soft core porn from the male gaze. But they are direct, and don't hide or cut away from genitals etc. I was charmed by the awkwardness of Adèle's first time. But it is the heart breaking failure of reality in romance that is the best bit.
    This is a great film.

    ^It really is,

    BlacKkKlansman - Spike Lee

Based on the book by Ron Stallworth recounting his period undercover being, well, a black clansman for the Colorado Springs police (its a good book too). There might be a teensy bit of inconsistency in the comedy elements of the film, but that is simply being picky. On point, on form Spike Lee, swinging with intent to do damage at the current state of race affairs (and historically) in the US. It is witty, but more than that it is simply horrifying. I had an audience of middle age, middle class white, socially liberal Australians and I am pretty sure they all came out with bruises. Good. Humans are fucking terrible.

‘Blue is the Warmest Color’ is a great film, already a classic in my books.

Finally saw ‘Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri’ really fucking good movie imho, Sam rockwell probably delivers my favorite performance he’s ever done (and he’s done some damn good ones) the entire cast is great, Peter Dinklage, Woody Harrelson, and especially Francis McDormond she blew me away. I totally recommend this film if anybody here likes ‘Burn After Reading’ ‘Fargo’ and many other films with that similar dry tone, you’ll dig this.

I totally recommend the film anyway, no matter what. Glad I finally got around to seeing it, and omg <3 Francis McDormand in anything ever.

    (Spoilers)

Watched Hereditary again for the first time since I saw it in the theater. I gotta say, it was just as effective. What a strong fucking movie. The score, (which if you listen closely, you can heart it faintly in the background throughout the whole movie), is amazing. The acting is incredible, and just as creepy. It's so surreal that it feels like I'm in a nightmare and I'm seeing this all for myself. I gotta say, I don't like the ending. The part when it's all explained, about Paimon and such. If it ended right before that, and Peter just clicks his tongue as the screeching saxophone wails in the background, Perfect.

    Predator 2018

Actually that good... I love how they even followed up to the Predators 2010 version where they had dread locked dogs.. Also, love the GET TO THE CHOPPA references.

    Campy and fun.
