What shall we use to fill the empty spaces where waves of hunger roar?
Shall we set out across the sea of faces in search of more and more applause?

Bury bones? Break up homes? Send flowers by phone?
Take to drink? Go to shrinks? Give up meat?
    Rarely sleep?
Keep people as pets? Train dogs? Race rats?
    Fill the attic with cash?
    Bury treasure? Store up leisure?

    But never relax at all?
With our backs to The Wall.

    Tall and reckless, ugly seed
Reach down my throat you filthy bird, that's all I need
This empty pit I've got to feed
To prove I'm fit, a healthy man I've got to be
    Malnutrition, my submission
You're the master and I take it on my knees
    Ejaculation tribulation

^ I'd listen the shit out of Angel Dust when I was 14. I got so sick of it that I still won't play it. I do like Midlife Crisis a lot though.

Damn dude, you were a cool motherfucker at age 14. I was barely acknowledging that music was a real thing when I was 14 lol, it'd be another good 3-4 years before I'd be able to even listen to something as eclectic and 'out there' as Angel Dust. I've been listening to this album for quite a few years now, I forget exactly when. It was recommended to me by Rover, this person I used to know from the Phant and talked a looottt with over the years. Rover and @spaceSuicide are responsible for like 80% of the music I listen to.

But I've listened to it enough times that I generally knew how it went and enjoyed it from time to time, but just within these past few days I started watching live videos and also reading the lyrics more thoroughly and I am hooked. I am super impressed with how much they kill live. I can't find a performance where they're not at 100%. But I also haven't strayed from Angel Dust. I listened to The Real Thing a few times the other night in the background, but I wasn't paying enough attention. If anybody has a suggestion for the best direction to go after Angel Dust, please chime in.

With that out of the way, I'll be posting some more music and lyrics because that's kinda my thing. And I hope it goes without saying, but everyone should check out these live videos. \m/

Life to you is a dashing bold adventure so sing and rejoice
And look for the dream that keeps coming back - your future
Pat yourself on the back and give yourself a handshake, cause everything is not yet lost.
(Does life seem worthwhile to you?)

Pour shame all over us, harden into a crust (cement)
Forget the glamour and mumble a jackhammer (under your breath)
Hide your face in the curtains
Better unsaid, so close. And it rolls off the tongue. Almost.

The world expects the pose, perfectly natural (loosen up)
Smearing wet concrete and swearing you'll never be (caught)
At your weakest, etched in stone. And we're frozen here, peeking.
    Almost sweet talk, caffeine

    Make contact
Up to my neck, I confess in quicksand.
    It's not funny any more.
It's the thing you hate the most.

The influence is strong with this one still. All about quality. Always has been. I miss Rover. :(

On topic, anything Patton ever attached himself to is balls to the wall 150% with effort. None of his albums or side projects were half assed attempts to do something else. Some might be better than others but they are all of consistency.

As for really being on topic for the thread...

I can't believe how long ago this show has been already. Such a fun night! Behemoth needs to hit up US for solo headliner tour after next album drop.

That's as far from the truth as possible but thatnks for making me laugh. I was introduced to Faith No More by my cousin and at the time, best friend. In the early 2000's with almost no internet access we were still listenig to music on cassettes. Stuck at our grandparents' countryside houses for the entire summer we didn't have much else to listen to so it was either Faith No More, Metallica or H.IM.

Currently listening to Boys Don't Cry by The Cure on a vinyl I recenyl bought. The title track skipped, dammit!
