Definitely Speed of Pain for me.
A system organized around the weakest qualities of individuals will produce these same qualities in its leaders.

Why are we overlooking Tourniquet? That song is powerful as fuck even after five or so records and its still one of my favourite moments of his shows regardless of how he chooses to present it live.

I've always felt this was a hopeful, somewhat nostalgic song, but never sad for some reason.

It isn't really a sad song though. I mean it's more of a hateful one IMO.

    You never believed in me

    Preserve the innocence

    I never believed in me

Definitely a sad fucking song. When innocence is lost and negativity is instilled to fill a void, conditioned to believe hatred is love/comforting; sadness is the victor, not hatred. But I suppose it is all relative.

I've always felt it was more about "fuck off and die" than "I fucking miss you".

I am also a terrible person so dunno.

I always took it as, I fucking miss myself, why did I subject myself to such torture? Fuck you, torturer (aka myself: I am the only one to blame, which is pretty sad. May as well fuck off and die.)

You Are a terrible person. How dare thee!?

Running to the Edge of World or Unkillable Monster
I am your vulture, your immoral sculpture, mirrorman who understands. I know you. I am you, your fantasy, reality.

Don't be surprised I can look you in the eye. It's hard to take you serious when you take me inside.

How the fuck are we supposed to know when I'm a monster in the way you refuse to die? How the fuck are we supposed to know if we're in love or if we're in pain?
"Are we in love or are we in pain?"
